Grade 2-4-Brad feels he cannot complete his science-fair project on time, and he would rather quit than try and fail. His father tells him the story of Moses, and inspired by this tale, Brad begins work, finishes the project two days early, and wins first place in the fair. The link between Brad and Moses is tenuous (they both have a challenge to face) and most children will not follow the connection. The watercolor illustrations are uneven in quality. The characters are stiff, while the landscapes are better, with an interesting use of color in places. A slight, didactic effort.
