Dance versions of ABBA trax, May 8, 2002

This Cd features techno/erurodisco- versions of 12 ABBA trax. If you like Abba and want music that you can work out to this CD is perfect.
If you are a purist who don't like comersial covers of ABBAs hits avoid this CD.
Both the vocals and the production is really good. They use a real string section on some of the ballads.
I recomend it!

Thank You For The ABBA Covers, February 11, 2008

I finally got my hands on a copy of this cd and I was quite pleased. Below I descrided each track and rated them on a scale of 1-10.
01. Intro- (10)Beautiful insrumental intro, very New Age like and moody.
02. The Winner Takes It All (9)- Most covers of TWTIA are wonderful, as is the case with this version. A key track.
03. Angel Eyes (9) Great dance version of a classic ABBA track. it's very 90's Euro Dance sounding (as it very well is).
04. Fernando (9)- Much like an updated version of the orignal.
05. Chiquitita (10) Beautiful song, much like a modern version of the original.
06. Lay All Your Love On Me (7)This track is alright, very Euro-Dance. Not my favorite cover of this song. i prefer the original.
07. One Of Us (9) Very "Ace of Base" sounding. Much like the 1999 cover by the A*Teens
08. Dancing Queen (7) Some songs are just never as good as the original.
09. Money Money Money (8) Song is sung in E-Rotic's signature sexy vocals. Good dance track.
10. Rock Me (8) Interesting choice for a ABBA cover. Male on female vocals. Not my favorite track but points for doing a more obscure ABBA song.
11. S.O.S (9)Chourus is dancey witha driving beat similar to Angel Eyes.
12. Waterloo (8) Nice effort, dance version very similar to the original style.
13. Thank You For The Music (10) Once i again, I was pleased to see an ABBA cover that many haven't attempted. As for the song, the musical arrangment is very nice, quite the contempory version of the original. One of my favorties on the cd.
14. Outro (10) a longer version of the intro, molodic.
Overall, I'd rath this cd with a 9. Some of the covers where a bit to bassy for me but the other tracks made up for it.
Key Tracks: Thank You For The Music, The Winner Takes it All, and Chiquitita.
