5.0 out of 5 stars thank you pooh, April 20, 2001

This book is an awesome book to teach recycling and to celebrate Earth Day. I teach Kindergarten and the students loved this book and we were able to discuss it for more than thirty minutes without any problems. I have a three foot Winnie the Pooh, and ten flower pots that I use as honey pots,we read the story interactively and the students love every moment and I am able to get across some very worthwhile points about recycling and caring for the environment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thank you, Pooh!, March 27, 2000

Are you looking for a book to help your toddler understand sharing? Are you looking for a book to help your younger elementary student with subtraction? Let Pooh help! Pooh obtains some new honey pots and needs room in his cupboards for them. Instead of throwing away his old honey pots, he loads up his wagon with ten old honey pots and sets out to find new homes for them. Each friend he meets along the way is given at least one honey pot--which happens to be just the thing that is needed for the job at hand. Pooh shares what he has while teaching the concept of subtraction as his wagon load of honey pots diminishes. My two year old loves this book and never tires of asking "AGAIN! Read honey pots!" Pooh is a familiar way of introducing the difficult concepts of sharing and subtraction to your child.
