This review is from: Thanks For Everything (Audio CD)
Dismantled is one of those bands that brings quite a bit to the table. In addition to having vocals that are superb, some lights-out performances that take the proverbial cake when it comes to live action, and a way about them that makes the room itself seem to breathe, their sound begins to expand and then contract a small space until it verges on moving with you. In their first albums they showed this skill ever so beautifully, and in their newer albums they have kept up the pace. Along the way they dropped singles here and there, and these singles - they are one of those things that people have to decide on for themselves. I personally like downloading what I want and collecting the things I need, but others love the sum of all the parts and go for the proverbial gold.
If this is you, then the whole album is something you should have. Regardless, you know who you are. Things on this single - just so you know: (1) Thanks for Everything - Club Version (6:00) - Remixed by Rotersand. A great mix, I might add. (2) Thanks for Everything - Alternate Version (5:59) (3) Spin - Aerodrone To Dismantled Remix (3:30) (4) Change the World - Added vocals by Tonya Pugh - (3:49) The addition of the extra vocals make a different theme that is pretty catchy. I found myself enjoy this a lot. (5) Thanks for Everything - Celsium 137 Remix (5:19) - For anyone that did not catch it, this means it was remixed by the aforementioned band. I gave the mix album 4 stars, but I have to add that this is because I LIKED THE MIXES and did not have a problem with there being five songs (three, really, when you look at what is here). Some people will disagree, rightfully so and totally understood, and this sis why the review includes the specifics of the EP. Knowledge is Power (and a good way to judge whether or not you want to pick up an album). Happy hunting.
