This book should be required reading for all young men today. Many are the good and decent men in our society who have suffered emotional terrorism at the hands of sick and manipulative women. We must learn the characteristics and strategies of these women if we are to protect ourselves, our families, and our friends.

First and foremost, the authors are to be commended for having the guts to state the truth: that men suffer a great deal of domestic violence. The utterance of this overwhelming truth is a great risk for anyone to take, especially in a culture that refuses to believe that women are capable of and in fact do commit violence against men. The stories of male victims of violence being turned away from state agencies, unjustly incarcerated, and barred from their own homes while their children are left to the devices of violent women are tragic. I think that this book is an important step in breaking the wall of institutional silence and propaganda that allows men and children to remain in harm's way.

But more importantly, this book reveals the problem of emotional abuse against men. Emotional abuse and emotional terrorism are primary tactics of abusive and manipulative women. In using the tools of emotional manipulation, the abusive woman can be a subtle foe; she often preys on men who are good of heart, twisting their good intentions until she achieves her objectives. Up until very recently, men have been relatively defenseless against such tactics. The authors here provide a good look into the characteristics of the emotionally abusive and manipulative woman, and strategies to extricate one's self from her grasp.

I will be recommending this book to any male I know who is about to enter the world of dating and relationships. It's about time men got smart and started looking after themselves. Too many good men are suffering!

We are experiencing many of the things this book talks about. It is a frightening reality that many courts refuse to recognize. So many children's lives are forever altered and many childhoods are taken away--replaced by a mother demanding that she is the only one to be loved and cared for by her children--and that the children are needed for her welfare, money and survival. She doesn't see it any other way. At the same time that she is trying to destroy a man's life, she is demanding more play money from him. And the children are still asking dad to pay for more and more 'things' they want on top of all he gives already. Dad IS good enough only for money.

A really usefull book! If you are stuck in a relationship with a manipulative woman, or getting over the trauma of one, this is a must-read.

But this doesn't only reflect intimate relationships, work collegues and even flatmates can also demonstrate this selfish dark-side. The type of female psychosis that this book describes is quite possibly under the surface in most women.

Everybody is in love when they get married... but around half of weddings end in divorce... so, it pays to know the dark-side of the female mind. I suspect that divorce lawyers have already learnt the lessons in this book... that even a good woman has the ability to become a destroyer of all around her.

My son, has custody oy his son. They are using the book to prepare for another court battle with his ex wife.

This one was passed around and enjoyed also by my wife and my other who is a counselor. The insite it provides in to the way some women think and how they act is excellent reading that both men and women can benifit from. You also should pay close attention to it if you are a man in a serious relationship or looking to get married. The warning signs it helps you find can prevent a lot of trouble down the road when these types of women go from strong, independent and loving to hateful and vindictive psychos who will claim to be the victims.

There are all kinds of books out there for women to help them avoid the tools and players but it is about time someone gave us a book about the much more vicious and dangerous female versions of them!

I have worked with men all my life that had these despicable women in thier life. It is so sad, they don't admit it, until something bad happens. First guy, live in mate, knived him. She drank, hospital wouldn't let him go home with her, this was in the late 70's. Second guy also live in mate, had 4 kids all different dads, but he stayed for his baby, when he defended himself she would call 911, he would be arrested. Finally they questioned the kids, the ones that weren't even his told the cops the truth. Third and forth men I won't discuss because they still live in it and are constantly manipulated-- just in case they read this.

We are doing all men a huge dis-service by not bringing this out in the open and letting it be okay for them to talk about it.

These men are no way -LESS THAN A MAN - they are MORE THAN A MAN.

If your a man living in this - you are a man that a REAL WOMAN would die to have in thier life, and they would worship you. Men who get into these types of relationships are men with feelings. That is not only appealing to "Crazy" women, because they can manipulate them and thier feelings. It is also what "Real" women want!

This book points out that by ignoring this problem we are not getting help for the women. Plus the statisics show that violence against women is DECREASING, and violence against men is INCREASING....
The reason? We have brought violence against women out in the open, but put men behind closed doors.

PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!

This is a must read for any male from his late teens on. Some of the things I read in this book I have had to learn the hard way. The rest is just great knowledge to have and to think about when dealing with the female currently in your life and any in the future.

This book and another called 'Rantings of a Single Male' should be required reading for all young men and their mentors.

This book made me say "OMG, that is exactly how she was acting" that it show a thorough background research into the topic. Usually men will be reading this book too late, like me. You never want to think your honey, confidante and partner could ever turn into something that can only be called a mercenary monster. Well, don't be paranoid, just be safe and be aware that possibility and take sub rosa precautions just in case. I think maybe women can turn that thing on and off a lot easier than men, and thus could never be viewed as the other personna if and until it actually happens.

It is good to see this book has coauthors of each gender, so they can't be accused of too much extremism.

I highly recommend this book, it covers so many pertinent topics that you wouldn't have remembered them all without it.
