5.0 out of 5 stars That Boss of Mine by Elizabeth Bevarly (Large Print Silhouette Desire)
I have to say that I can't remember the last time I laughed so much when reading a Silhouette - this author has a real talent for bringing out the best in her characters. Lighthearted, sexy, definitely worth the time - you won't go wrong adding this title to your collection!

Description from the book back cover:

Something about her ... Audrey...

Description from the book back cover:

Something about her ... Audrey Finnegan was the most clumsy, unfortunate, beautiful and alluring woman Wheeler Rush had ever met. She was also his temporary secretary. His business was on its last legs and his eyes were on hers! True, she'd come into his life - and his office - like a breath of fresh air, making his hormones spin out of control. He knew he should send her packing, but her heart was in the right place and - oh, Lord - for once in his life, so was his ...

Over the first two weeks Wheeler realizes that she is his "good-luck charm". What she lacks in secretarial skills she makes up for in personality- she wins back old clients and has connections that bring in new ones.

After this Wheeler suddenly realizes that Audrey means something to him but he can't quite figure it out. Duh. You'll have to read the rest of the story to find out what happens.

This story had its cute moments but to me it was a slow read. I felt the characters lacked depth and it was mediocre. It would be alright if you don't have anything else to read but I can't recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a funny book!, December 16, 1999
By
I don't do cute or funny books. Ha! I certainly would have missed a good book had I stuck by that criteria. While reading this book, I read passages to my husband ( he was trying to read his own book) and entertained him, as well. Audrey and Wheeler are fun characters. She's a disaster waiting to happen. He's decided she's his good luck charm. And she thinks they are in love. Resolving the charm/lover dilemna is the story's theme. Laughter, and sexy love scenes add to the mix. I really enjoyed Wheeler's verbal jousts with his conscience, the most. Alot of entertainment, for the price of a small book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Audrey Finnegan has fallen into it this time!, December 29, 2002
She's always falling into things...but this time she's fallen right into the arms of her boss, Wheeler Rush. Wheeler is looking for a temporary secretary, someone efficient and capable...and what he gets is Audrey. But sometimes what you think you want isn't what you really want, or need. And it seems what Wheeler needs...is Audrey.

A delightful story!
