Robert W. Birch, Ph.D., is a retired marital and sex therapist, having practiced this specialty as a psychologist for over 35 years. He has written six self-help books, but in his retirement turned to the writing of limericks and other forms of poetry, both naughty and nice.

Oral Caress was one of his first books and most of his self-help books, such as Male Sexual Endurance, were written while he was still in practice.
