Review
Cindy Reilly and Franklin Cameron Fitz III are about as different as two people can get. Author Barbara Jean Hicks knows that when it comes to love opposites attract and fairy tales can come true! Cindy is a waitress at a quirky diner called the Kitsch 'n' Caboodle. Her dream is to be a famous fashion designer and she definitely has the talent. Her wedding dresses are the talk of Tillicum County and she knows someday everyone will want one of her Glad Rags party dresses. She also has the perfect fiancé, well almost-fiancé since he hasn't yet proposed. Cindy knows he's going to, though. And soon. Franklin, on the other hand, has no romantic prospects. What he does have is a snooty stepmother who is determined to see him married to the "right" kind of woman and a doting aunt who wants to see him fall in love- preferably with Cindy. Franklin is heir to the Strawbridge and Fitz department store, but he isn't quite sure what he wants to do with his life. Or who he wants to spend it with. All That Glitters is a delightful modern day Cinderella story. Cindy is a spunky, bright heroine who has suffered her share of hard knocks and deserves happiness. Franklin is a prince of a guy who has always done what is expected of him. Now he needs to learn to follow his heart. The secondary characters add doses of humor and conflict to story. Ms. Hicks does a terrific job of crafting a tale that is funny, romantic and inspiring all at the same time! For every girl who dreamed of being Cinderella, All That Glitters is a dream come true! Barbara Jean Hicks has a talent for creating Christian romance that is both inspirational and humorous! A delicious light-hearted love story! Magical and entertaining! You won't be able to wipe the smile off your face! Kristina Wright --
