three warm holiday romances, October 11, 2009
This review is from: That Holiday Feeling: Silver Bells\The Perfect Holiday\Under the Christmas Tree (Mass Market Paperback)
"Silver Bells" by Debbie Macomber. Philip raised his teenage daughter, but never expected her to find him a wife when he never wanted to remarry. However the chosen one Carrie makes him reconsider his stance on marriage.
"The Perfect Holiday" by Sherryl Woods. Aunt Mae decides Trace is the perfect holiday present for her single niece Savannah. She expects them to be engaged by Christmas.
"Under the Christmas" Tree by Robyn Carr. Hairstylist Annie stops to admire a Virgin River Christmas tree only to find eight newborn puppies underneath it. Obviously abandoned, Annie finds the town `s vet Nathaniel to help with the dogs.
These are three warm holiday romances starring wonderful lead protagonists.

a good, light holiday read, December 26, 2009
This review is from: That Holiday Feeling: Silver Bells\The Perfect Holiday\Under the Christmas Tree (Mass Market Paperback)
Silver Bells by Debbie Macomber
3 1/2 stars
A follow-up to one of the Manning stories (
The Manning Brides: Marriage Of Inconvenience\Stand-In Wife). Carrie Weston is the stepdaughter of Jason Manning and is now all grown up. She finds herself on the other end of the same situation as Jason and her mother were in years ago with a meddling teenager trying to play matchmaker.
Typical Macomber. Nothing special in this one. Seemed a little too much like all her others. The kids play a big role in this one like many of her other books.
The Perfect Christmas by Sherryl Woods
4 stars
A sweet, yet predictable story. Savannah is a single mom who inherits an Inn in Vermont from her Aunt Mae. Trace is a workaholic who was close friends with Mae and promised to spend Christmas at her Inn even after her death.
Another story where a kid plays a very big part in the romance, which can get a little tiresome, but still cute.
Under the Christmas Tree by Robyn Carr (Virgin River)
5 stars
Similar to "A Virgin River Christmas" in style. Two new characters (Annie McKenzie & Nate Jensen) meet and find romance over a litter of puppies. Jack, Preacher, and a couple of the kids (Christopher & David) play small roles in the book, so we get to meet up with some old favorites. Annie and Nate are both great characters and have great chemistry. It was the perfect length for a Christmas anthology.

great holiday stories, April 1, 2011
This review is from: That Holiday Feeling: Silver Bells\The Perfect Holiday\Under the Christmas Tree (Mass Market Paperback)
Lovely holiday stories in this collection. The book as a whole is the perfect thing to read at the holidays when things are stressed and you just want a nice little story that isn't too detailed or filled with negativity.
