Cooking with bourbon adds excitement to your dishes. It imparts a woody, nutty taste, and it's an easy way to turn a ho-hum recipe into something special that your guests will enjoy. Or, if you like the recipe but prefer to have it without bourbon, just add water, milk or fruit juice as a substitute.
About the Author
Sandra Davis was born in the Bourbon Country Belt. Her interest in cooking is inherited from generations of Kentucky-born women who specialized in Southern hospitality. As an educator, avid traveller, food columnist and community leader, she loves sharing her creative ideas with other people. As a cooking enthusiast, she has collected, created and refined bourbon recipes for more than 20 years, which is one reason Sandra is telling the unique Maker's Mark story and sharing her recipes that have "that special touch." As a friend says, Sandra's style of hospitality and entertaining are recognized throughout the United States. Sandra lives with her husband, Joe B., on their purebred Angus farm, Davis on the Highlands, near Springfield, Kentucky.
