I first heard the Chasen "On and On" song on a top 25 countdown for Christian music. I was hooked. But that is certainly not the only great song on this album. "Castaway, One in Million, Airplane"...these are all great songs. In fact, there really isn't a song on the "That Was Then This Is Now" album that is worth skipping over, or that couldn't be a possible radio hit. I think group really has some top notch musical skills and good vocals. I think they could use another background singer, as they just have the lead guy and one background guy, but this album, as I said in another review, has more crossover potential than most - yet it is unapologetically Christian, moreso than Switchfoot or some other groups. This is absolutely worth buying - from someone who used to buy a lot of Christian albums but hasn't been excited about a group like this in awhile.

I first heard of Chasen when I heard their song "On and On" on our local Christian Radio Station. When the whole CD came out, I decided to get it because I knew that if the rest of the CD was as good as "On and On," then it would be awesome. I was not disappointed. I did not hear a single song that made me want to reach for the skip button. A few favorites include "Leave You Alone," "Castaway," and "On And On." The whole CD is awesome though. If you like pop/rock with a little worship in the lyrics, this album is definitely for you. I look forward to more great things from them in the future.

This a great follow up to their previous CD. Pure sound and with great passion for Christ. One of those CD's that you don't have to skip songs, come on you all know you have those! If you get a chance watch some of their video interviews with the band, they're really great. Buy legal versions of this CD and help support Christian bands.

I liked this CD upon my first listen through, In fact loved it. I cannot say that for many others. Most times I must listen through a # of times for it to grab me. I played it over and over until practically burning it out. I like it because it is happy, strong and upbeat. Every song. They are all pretty fast except the last one. My favorite song would be: "Eyes of A Rescue" since I feel that towards many friends still wandering in the "lost darkness." I also saw Chasen in concert and they were excellent. Very exhorting. As is the CD. I liked them so well I bought there first CD. They must have had some help because the first one is not at all good. Sounds country ish. Quite a change. Depending on how you like your christian music. I highly recommend this one.

This cd has excellent songs including castaway, on and on, eyes of a rescue, and airplanes are my favorite, but this entire cd is amazing and blessed by God
