Imperial was home to Rick Nelson and Fats Domino, but it was also home to some firebreathing rockabillies like Bob Luman Red Hot, Johnny & Dorsey Burnette Warm Love, and the Strikes If You Can't Rock Me. There's even former R&B great Roy Brown trying his hand at rockabilly Hip Shakin' Song, as well as a great early track by Bill Mack, who wrote Lee Ann Rimes' #1 country smash, Blue. This, like all the Bear Family albums in this series is a little pricy, but packed full of rare early rock-a-billy gems. I like this album and play alot of the tracks on my radio show. If you like the rare rock-A-billy stuff this is a great album, like all the Bear family stuff the liner notes more than help make up for the price. Worth adding to your collection and lots of history.
