My 7 1/2 year old got this recently. She was not overly excited about reading before this book but now I find her picking up books and magazines regularly to read them. She reads this book a couple of times a week, sometimes for up to an hour at a time. Any child who has a strong stomach and likes bugs and other "disgusting" animals will love this book.
