This book is great for Pastors, Ministers, and anyone who wants or needs to be able to properly pronounce names from the Bible. It has really improved my confidence and credibility in this area. I recommend it as a standard tool in everyone's library.

Nothing is more frustrating than paying for an item, and not being able to use it. I had to wait till during business hours to call the publishers of this product in order to receive a special code to unlock the information on the cd that I had already paid for! To make matters worse; after writing the code down in the book for future reference I was even more aggravated by the fact that a month or so later, after my husband had deleted the program not realizing what it was, the code I had would not unlock the program for me. To top it off, I could not call the company, because it was a weekend, and they aren't available then to give out codes! As for the book and program itself, it is not comprehensive, as I have come across names while reading the Bible, that are not listed in the book. The cd was the selling point for me, and because of the amount of trouble I have had to go to just to use it, I am not happy with this purchase, and don't even care to call to get the code to unlock this program again. Why should a Christian publisher be so concerned about copy protection? Don't they trust their fellow Christian consumers? Isn't the spread of the gospel more important than protecting the bottom line?

That's Easy For You To Say instills confidence in any Pastor or Teacher with word pronunciation. I teach Bible Study quite frequently and when the text is filled with difficult words, I can feel the congregation waiting to see if I will pronounce the word correctly, or trip all over it. When you use the CD, and the program pronounces the word for you, you are no longer guessing, you have amazing confidence when reading the scriptures. I do a word study with each lesson and I use the CD to ensure I am ready to read the text without stumbling. Each verse then becomes so easy and you have such confidence it is absolutely amazing. If you care about being your best when reading the scriptures, this book will be a tremendous value that will provide a life time of pastoral help.

I had installed this application on WIN98. It worked flawlessly. I loved it!

However, I purchased a new WINXP system and became aware that the software will not install on XP systems!This problem is not a fluke. EVERYONE with an XP system is having the problem, according to search engines.

I found WORDSearch bible software which will install it within its program...But it will not read any names beyond "A" (i.e any names that do not begin with "A", it will not even list)?

Hopefully the publishing company will provide a new version, update or someother fix.

I purchased the book for its whole point. That's easy for you to say! I have found words in the Bible either hard to pronounce or hear it so many ways, you just don't know. I found a lot of useful pages in the beginning, and you if read them it is helpful. I however did find some of pronunciations still a little difficult. Some of the writings would show you that the "A" should be long, but I have seen the same set up I was seeing some of the small. Ok no big deal, it comes with a CD to install into your computer. People complained about it doesn't work. Ok yes I had the same problems, so I unistalled it then READ the directions, works like a charm! In there are other programs on the disc, many of which you will not keep unless you order them. No big deal because it lets you keep the pronunciations. I found in there a Bible study guide. It gives the option on how long to complete your Bible reading; one year, 6 months, a week. Up to you. It lets you choose what days of the week you would like to read. The option of reading it straight through or mix it. You have a calander to mark when you complete your task. My son and I both like this deal. Also it is not set in stone, if you want to change it you may, but I don not know how that goes about changing it after you have already started your readings.

I've bought many Spanish aids from this site, and did not buy this particular product from here only because I read one of the reviews and steered away because of it. I must say that it is a great find! Inadvertantly, my husband bought it at another website. We were looking for a book and CD Rom that would allow us to continue our study of the Bible and learn more of the hard-to-pronounce names of the Bible. The CD Rom has so much more than just Bible aid on enunciation of names. For 30 days, you get to use all kinds of aids and have the opportunity to buy many other study aids that you may wish to have. We're happy with the product. A 5 star product, indeed.

For years I have used T.S.K. Scott-Craig's "A Guide to Pronouncing Biblical Names." It was very helpful, but it has now been far surpassed by W. Murray Severance's book. The author acknowledges that there is no 100% agreement on how to pronounce Biblical names, but he does provide a well-researched guide. The book is well laid out so that it is easy to find the words you are looking for. The pronunciation code that Severance employs is also easy to understand. One of the features that has delighted me the most is the inclusion of theological terms that are not found in the Bible itself but that are frequently used in articles about the Bible. For example, the book tells you how to pronounce "parousia" and "pseudepigrapha." This is a book that should be a standard reference for every pastor and Bible teacher.

This is most helpful in every way - large font - definitions as well as pronounciation guide. A great bargain.

I like being able to listen to the word being pronounced. The program loaded easily and I did not need to call and get any codes. I loaded it on my laptop with Windows XP and on my desktop with Windows 2000 and it did fine. The only complaint I have is if I want to upgrade to Windows Vista I will have to purchase a new disk.

I get tongue tied over many of the names, especially in the Old Testament. This book gives me much more confidence when teaching Bible classes and preaching.
