i've never written a review before...,

since i always refer to other people's reviews for everything, i figured i'd throw out my 2 cents just to say that my daughter (10 months) has this book and "that's not my bear" and she loves them both. i'm ordering a few more in the series. she has learned to turn the pages and also to touch the "feely" part of each page. totally cute, sturdy, perfect length story for babies' attention span. her favorite pages are the bumpy slippers, frizzy hair and scratchy tongue. good way to teach about adjectives, too!

Defective book. There are 2 "That's my fairy pages",

I have a few books from this series and my 16 month old loves them. However, I am disappointed in "That's Not My Fairy" because the last page (the 5th spread where you finally find your fairy, "That's my fairy") is also on the 3rd spread.

Is this racist?,

I absolutely love this series and so do the little ones I share them with. This one did not disappoint with its lovely colors, great girl appeal and wonderful textures. However, I was dismayed to find the page with the caption, that's not my fairy, her hair is too frizzy. Wondering if I was being oversensitive, I showed the book to several other people who agreed that line is a bit offensive, as the hair resembles that of an African American child. Other than that I loved the book.

My family and I are big fans of this series and this book did not disappoint. If you haven't read any of these books, please don't hesitate to buy them for your children! They are fun, cute and you will enjoy the interaction you get with your children as they feel the different textures. I highly recommend!

I was not impressed but my daughter likes it,

I was not impressed with this book. It is only a few pages long and some of the pages don't have very good touch and feel things on them. I paid ten dollars and just expected a bit more for the money. My daughter likes it, so I guess that is what matters.

Both my year old and two year old granddaughters love this book about a bunch of fairies that are not hers...and then the last page when there is her fairy! The board book has sturdy pages and each fairy has something tactile on her. Fluffy wings, bumpy shoes, frizzy hair and more. Kids love the story and love touching the various parts of the fairies.

A Great Book,
This review is from: That's Not My Fairy (Usborne Touchy Feely) (Hardcover)
I think this series is very good for first books as babies love to feel the different textures and the books are sturdy (no flaps to lift). This makes a great gift especially if it is someone's first girl. The sparkly accents add a nice touch.

Great book for babies! Super sturdy pages and extra special touchy feelys and sparkle. There is a dress, wings, slippers, crown, hair, and a wand to touch and feel. I really like the pink wings they are so soft and fluffy. The only thing I'm not thrilled with are the slippers. I think they should have just given her shoes. All and all it is a very cute book!
