5.0 out of 5 stars Great pictures
This book is very fun, sturdy, and colorful. My son loves all of these books that we have, and this is his current favorite. He's 2 and went through a phase where he loved robots, so we had to read this to him multiple times every night for a while.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing addition to this series of "That's Not My..." books.
If you're looking for a touchy-feely book, keep looking. This one's a real disappointment to the series of "That's not my..." books. Quite simply, it's just boring. As an alternative, I'd recomend "That's Not My Bear" or "That's Not My Pony."

4.0 out of 5 stars Like this whole series, June 27, 2008
This review is from: That's Not My Robot... (Usborne Touchy-Feely Board Books) (Board book)
All these books are good.

They all follow a mouse looking for his something (in this case, of course, it's his robot). Every two page spread follows the same pattern - That's not my $NOUN! It's $NOUN2 is too $ADJECTIVE! (until the end, of course, where the robot (or whatever) is found.

Some have better textures than others, though. This one has shiny, crinkly, bumpy, prickly, squashy, and shiny - that, to me, puts it in the less stunning textures group than the more stunning one.

Edit: Forgot to mention, this book declares that it is "made with wood from a sustainable forest". That's a nice bonus.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book, April 26, 2008
This review is from: That's Not My Robot... (Usborne Touchy-Feely Board Books) (Board book)
We love this book! My husband and I are sci-fi and fantasy fans, so we figured it isn't too early to start our little one off right - we also have the That's Not My Dragon book. Our daughter loves the pictures and the different, interesting touch-and-feel parts of each page.

All of these bright and durable books were the perfect eye candy for my baby as he was beginning to learn to use his hands and reach out to touch things. He is just about 2 now and still enjoys reading ALL of these books - so do we.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for little ones!, December 31, 2011

We love the "That's not my . . . " series of books. They are great for bedtime reading with very young children (or anytime really). They are board books that are smaller in size, but that makes it easier when you are trying to balance a book and a baby/toddler in your arms. Each page has something the child can touch and feel. It has few, easy to understand words. It also has the little mouse on each page that your kid and find for added fun. The books are thick and sturdy. They are about 5 open pages. The robot book specifically is great for your little robot loving guy (or girl). The cover has eyes you can touch and shiny stars. Each page has a robot which is "not my robot" until you get to the last page of course. Each robot has something to touch and feel or something shiny to look at. It is a fun little read that has had many repeated readings in our house.

I bought three of these for my niece in my favorite things--robot, dinosaur, penguin, monkey.
She has loved them for years! She is three now and still reading them.
Pictures are interesting/cool, and great for little hands!

Great book. Even when my baby was just a few months old, she loved to look at this book and listen to me say, "THAT's not my robot...."

5.0 out of 5 stars That's Not My Robot, July 11, 2008
This review is from: That's Not My Robot... (Usborne Touchy-Feely Board Books) (Board book)
All the touchy feely books are wonderful. Remember to try to think about what your child will like. These books teach a lot about the textures and about differences. Boys love robots. When you place a book about a bear or a pony or a robot, they may very well pick up the one about the robot. It's different. Boys love it.

My two sons love all the touchy-feely board books. The books are short but the kids love to touch them and my 5 year old son memorizes them and then reads them to his brother. It is very enjoyable to watch.
