The third volume of the Now That's What I Call Country series is a solid collection of great tracks with few missteps.

The Positives:
Kenny Chesney's "Ain't Back Yet" is nice to see on the collection since it was part of a re-issue of his Greatest Hits II package which I refused to repurchase. I didn't even like the song too much at the time, but it grew on me and I'm glad it's on this collection.
Zac Brown Band's "Highway 20 Ride" is one of the few songs I've really liked by that group, so I wouldn't buy their CD, but again, glad this song made it onto this collection.
Similarly are the songs included by Josh Turner and Martina McBride, where I generally like their singles but don't run out to pick up their albums.
Keith Urban's "Til Summer Comes Around" is one of the best tracks off of Defying Gravity and is great to have on this collection. Anything by Rascal Flatts or Lady Antebellum is always welcome, as are Gary Allan and Brad Paisley (despite the fact that I have all of the music by all four of these artists). Chris Young's "The Man I Want To Be" such a touching song.

The Missteps:
Easton Corbin. While "A Little More Country Than That" isn't a horribly unbearable song, Corbin tries too hard to sound like a copycat voice of George Strait, which just makes the performance less enjoyable (when I want to hear George Strait, I put on my George Strait CD (or go to Track 8 of this collection)). It's a listenable song, but one I won't be adding to the MP3 Player.
Also, I would have liked to have seen a few more female vocalists.

This is a great selection of many of today's hottest country stars. There is a wide selection of artists to choose from, and a diverse range of country songs to enjoy. I felt compelled to obtain this cd when I saw the selection of country artists featured on this cd, and I am glad that I went with the feeling. I say this because all of the musical tracks in this Now Country Music compilation are good. The musical creations that stood out for me the most were "Crazy Town" by Jason Aldean, "Up On the Ridge" by Dierks Bientley, and "Unstoppable" by Rascal Flatts. "Up On the Ridge" by Dierks Bentley is a strong musical number about meeting up with someone for a carefree get-together. "Crazy Town" by Jason Aldean appears to be about the paths that people have to be aware of when going after their dreams of fame and fortune. My favorite song in this collection is "Unstoppable" by Rascal Flatts. "Unstoppable" is an uplifting and happy song about picking yourself up by your bootstraps and perservering. This song also appears to be about learning through your mistakes and transforming them into blessings through the tools of faith and believing in yourself. I love how Rascall Flatts sends a positive message through "Unstoppable" that it is more how your pick yourself back up that matters. Definitely consider getting this compilation if you like various artists hits collection, you enjoy country music, and/or you are open to listening to country music.

I absolutely am in love with the NOW COUNTRY volumes and would love to see them keep coming. I actually have all of them thanks to finding the ones here that I could not find at the stores!. I have looked all of them over many times and not a single song is repeated on any of them ... NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL BRILLIANT AND A BIG MONEY SAVER!!!

Thanks so much and any more up-dated country series, like these would be awesome!

D. Coleman.

Most NOW CD's are good, but I wasn't too happy with this one. It has a couple of good songs. I would recommend you to listen to the samples before buying this CD. I have 4 or 5 other country NOW CD's and this one is my least favorite. Sorry I can't give it a better rating.
