Let's face it. Anyone nowadays can assemble their own collection of classic dance tunes. But this album is more than good enough to save the trouble of doing so. This great collection is a good mix of disco, R & B, hip-hop and techno. There are a few tracks that are in their edited versions such as "It Takes Two" and "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)". It's interesting to see Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" again after appearing recently on Now 80's Vol. 2. At any rate, this album is great for parties or family gatherings. If you want something to get the party going, then start with this.

Lots of great classic songs to get you moving on here that I like having on one CD. My dad loves it too!

Great music to blast and dance silly until your exhausted with the grandkids, when your tired of dancing like nobody's looking, then sing like nobody's listening! Great music.

Great dance music that never dies. If you loved the nightclub scene in the 70's and 80's, then this is a must have

"now" is not at fauilt ,but there were better versions of some of the songs on this cd, for a casual listner cd is probably good but if you were looking for full versions (not the radio edits) not so much. Because you cant do fractions of stars i give this CD a 3.75 out of 5
3 or 4 less songs would of made "room" for the 12" versions, which in my opinion would of made this CD hudge a hit......i can kinda reccomend this cd only because most of the song selection is good ...a couple of lame ones though

NOW Dance Classics are a must for music collectors who care to cover many music genres. It has a nice random selection of various dance hits from MC to more recent hits. These are the full length hits the deejay will be playing at most weddings, reunions & other parties. It's a good purchase for the price. If you like those dance hits and want to listen to them more often, this is a good place to start. The CD is filled with popular songs we've all heard before. If there is enough interest in this CD, perhaps we can convince NOW to extend their collection to a second and third volume.

Yes, all I can say is that... well.. I've been there at all the parties when these songs were released back in the day, and I know how each and every song on this album can pack a dance floor. Makes a DJ's job a lot easier. Only one thing I have to say:

Where is SNAP - THE POWER ????? Possibly the best dance track of the 90's, this track should've been included on this CD.

Good music, great times! Daughter, son in law & grandson love it! I bought it for my grandson and his parents tried to take it over.

I bought this CD just to listen to it. However, the music was so good that it made me get up off the sofa and see if I could remember some of the dance moves
