The great thing about this Brand of CD is the genre's it includes. It has a little bit of everything and not always the latest on the Top 40, which is nice because it exposes you to artists or songs you would not normally listen too. That is also the case with the inclusion of 3 or 4 tracks now of new artists trying to make it big. I just love these CD's and I actually have most of the 40 they've produced so far.

"Now 40: That's What I Call Music (Deluxe Edition) contains an eclectic range of musical hits. This is because many of the hits are from various genres (dance, pop, and rock). I concur that this 36 song compilation is one of the well-assembled compilations among the series. The following is a sampler of the exciting musical tracks on these two cds:
1.) "I Wanna Go" by Britney Spears
2.) "When We Stand Together" by Nickelback
3.) "Hey Soul Sister" by Train
4.) "In the Dark" by Dev
5.) "Mr. Saxobeat" by Alexandra Stan
6.) "Rockstar" by Nickelback
7.) "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People
8.) "Just a Kiss" by Lady Antebellum
9.) "Cheers (Drink To That) by Rihanna
10.) "Tik Tok" by Kesha
11.) "Love Story" by Taylor Swift
12.) "You Make Me Feel" by Cobra Starship (featuring Sabi)
13.) "She will Be Loved" by Maroon 5
14.) "You and I" by Lady Gaga
This collection is best for the many who enjoy a diverse range of music on their cds.

The "Now!" people, struck gold X40 here. The best song of the bunch is "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People. Long live "Now!"

I was not impressed with the last few NOW CD's that came out and was worried that NOW was slowly declining and I enjoy collecting them. However, I like every song on this CD with the exception of a few, which is more than I can say for NOW 38 & 39. I also love that NOW 40 came with a bonus CD with a lot of great songs from years before. I bought an extra copy of this CD for a friend for Christmas! I just hope that NOW 41 released in February and the NOW CD's after that keep staying this good!

Now 40! is not a bad summary of the top 40 for a reasonable price. Are all the songs favourites? No. However they do sport some catchy tunes like "Moves like Jagger", hip-hop blend like "Lighters" and dance songs like "Mr. Saxobeat". It's an appropriate blend of ecclectic styles that makes me appreciate this album. I'd previously bobbed my head to these songs on the radio but never really paid much attention to them. Now that I purchased the album, I was able to appreciate the whole song instead of just listening to maybe half of the song on my way to work.
