4.0 out of 5 stars Now Vol. 27
Twenty hits from late '07 through early '08. Jordin Sparks, Alicia Keys, Sara Bareilles, Paramore and country singer Taylor Swift make their first appearances while Mary J. Blige, Janet, Britney, Finger 11 and Keith Urban return to the series. Fergie also makes her fifth straight appearance. The numbers below are their peak position on the Billboard Hot 100 unless...

3.0 out of 5 stars A Lil Too Much R&B Not Enough Rock N Roll/Alternative Music On This Volume
I love the NOW series. However this volume in the series does not have enough even amounts of each genre of music. There is way too much R&B/Hip Hop like stuff on the CD and not enough Pop, Country, Alternative and Rock tracks. I also don't like how NOW creators are censoring some songs that don't even need to be. On a previous volume one of Gwen Stefani's songs was...

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good!, July 2, 2008

The last "Now" CD I bought was Now 6. This is the only one really that interested me since then, and I like most of the songs on it.

If you listen to Top-40 radio, and don't want to buy Britney Spears' new album, but like "Piece of Me," for example, it's good.

But if you've already bought Alicia Keys and Sara Bareillis, it's not that worthwhile.

Overall, though, it's a great album with lots of fun hits.

5.0 out of 5 stars Overplayed songs from the radio, May 3, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My main reason for purchasing this cd was that somebody at work would have on the radio and it seemed that the majority of these songs were being played in EXTREME HEAVY ROTATION and were playing the SAME ENTIRE blocks of music EVERY TWO HOURS!!!! Needless to say, I started to sing them in my head when the radio was turned off or I was at home. They became as Jordin Sparks would say, "...tattooed" on my brain and I just had to have them. I was laughing at myself because I never knew the titles or what the songs were about. I enjoy the Kanye West song "Flashing Lights", "Tattoo", "Paralyzer" "Clumsy" "Piece Of Me" and "Teardrops On My Guitar" since these were the ones that were played out the most on the radio along with "Kiss Kiss" and both Sean Kingston songs. I was disappointed in the Janet Jackson song and wondered why it wasn't a radio fave until I listened to it; not quite up to my standards for Ms. Jackson...sorry. The rest of the songs are great too, but, I got to know and love the others via being overplayed EVERY TWO HOURS. See, repetitiion can be a good thing...sometimes.

On a previous volume one of Gwen Stefani's songs was censored even more than was on TV. I was like WTF. But anyways highlights of the CD are Tracks 14 to 20. Worst Tracks 8, 9, 10 and 11. Was an alright volume but there are better ones that have been released.

I gave this CD to my grandson for Christmas. He was excited about receiving it. I was impressed with the short delivery time.
