I love "That's what girls do." I liked it since the first day I heard it. If your not sure if you have heard this or not, you may remember it from the "Powerpuff girl movie" commercials. Here are my reviews on each track.

This review is from: That's What Girls Do / Comes Back (Audio CD)
I love "That's what girls do." I liked it since the first day I heard it. If your not sure if you have heard this or not, you may remember it from the "Powerpuff girl movie" commercials. Here are my reviews on each track.

1)Thats what girls do- I love this song. Very bubbly and fun to listen to. It will get stuck in your head the first time you here it, guareenteed.

2)Comes back- I like this song. Very good lyrics to it. It didn't get stuck in my head like the 1st track did.

3)No Secrets snippets

Skin Deep- I think their voices sound very mature on this track. Nice job!

What are you waiting for- This reminds me of thier song "Kids in a america" for one reason: IT SOUNDS LIKE A BUNCH OF LITTLE GIRLS SCREAMING!!! Good beat though.

I'll remember you- I's alright. I don't really like slow songs.

4)Ansering machine message- I kinda like this. It is very cool how the play that catch song in the background!!!P>Well, there is my review. Though their voices aren't as mature as Play's, they are still a very good girl group!!! If you like No secrets, check out Play's new CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best SONGS EVER!!, July 11, 2005
This review is from: That's What Girls Do / Comes Back (Audio CD)
No Secrets' Single is AMAZING!! I love all the songs on it and wish that Comes Back had been on their album. Angel went solo (her album is even better than No Secrets' (hard to believe)), Erin went solo (now Nicki Foxx) (her single comes out soon). Hopefully, oh God please, Jessica Fried will go solo. Alright here are my ratings, and ignore the review below mine, they're just jealous that they don't have talent.

1. That's What Girls Do -- 10/10
Great rythm, it's the first song on the album.

2. Comes Back -- 20/10
Great lyrics, great tune, Angel pulls this one off with an A+++.

3. Album Snippets
-Skin Deep -- 9/10
Great slow song, gets rid of people with a relationship all about beauty.

-What Are You Waiting For? -- 10/10
Very upbeat & happy

-I'll Remember You -- 10/10
Give this song to a friend that's moving.

4. no secrets Answering Machine Message
Use this as you answering machine message.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Album Is Awesome! Because That's What No Secrets Does!, July 7, 2002
This review is from: That's What Girls Do / Comes Back (Audio CD)
We've all heard of No Secrets even if we don't know it. Their first smash hit song "Kids In America" was picked up for the theme of the Jimmy Neutron album. And now, their second single "That's What Girls Do" is being used as the theme to the PowerPuff Girls movie! These five girls have such great voices it's impossible not to recognize their talent. Here's what you get on the single
"That's What Girls Do" The Full Song
"Comes Back" Full Song
Snippets of the following songs: Skin Deep, What Are You Waiting For? and I'll Remember You
No Secrets Answering machine
CD is also enhanced to play some cool stuff in your computer!

That's What Girls Do - (Grade: A)
Time: 3:09

This song is officially stuck in my head. No matter what other songs I listen to, the tune keeps on playing. But that's What No Secrets Does! They play songs and immediately they worm their way inside your head. The music video for it is now playing on Nick. This is the theme to the PowerPuff Girls movie. If you've seen the commercial to the movie, then you've heard this song. The part they play is the chorus:
That's What Girls Do,
They Keep Ya guessing the whole day through,
Play your emotions, Push all your buttons it's true,
That's What Girls Do!
The lyrics to this song flow perfectly and their singing is at its best in this one. This one's a keeper!

Comes Back - (Grade: B+)
Time: 2:38

This song is great. It really is. It'll probably be their next single. (Then again it's up against some other awesome songs: Here I Am, I know What I Want, On The Floor, No Secrets, Skin Deep, etc.) When you read the lyrics to this song, it'll make it sound like a rap song but it's 100 % Pure pop! Well maybe a little less, this song is different than No secrets Other songs. Their chorus is great:
What you put out comes back,
What you been doing is talking trash,
There you go burning up that bridge,
It makes me wanna say kiss this,
Kiss This!
I don't even have to stoop so low,
Cause if there's one thing that I know
Whatcha Know? Whatcha Know?
Everything you do, Comes Back,
Comes back to bite you in the aaaa

Skin Deep - (Grade: A+)
Time of clip: 1:20

This is my favorite No Secret song that I have heard so far. And I have heard pretty much all of them. It's kind of a slow song mixed in with a fast song at the same time. You'd have to listen to understand. The chorus is amazing and it's the best part of the song. The music would be next. I am so glad that they are going to put this on their album. I am going to be the first in line to buy it. I really hope that this will be their next single. I like how in the beginning they whisper: SKIN DEEEP I promise that this song will have a whole bunch of fans. This would get No Secrets a whole new chunk of fans if it was released somewhere. If you want to here a clip of it, go to NO-SECRETS.NET

What Are You Waiting For? (Grade: B-)
Time Of Clip: 0:42
________________________________
I think I would like this song a lot more if all five girls didn't sing the chorus. It makes it sound more like yelling when they all sing it. But it also sounds like a party song. You'll wanna get up and dance when you hear this. So that's something good about it. It would sound better if it were one or two girls singing it and the music was a little louder. But other than that, I do like to listen to this song every once in awhile

I'll Remember You (Grade: B)
Time Of Clip: 1:06
_____________________________
This is a slow song and I don't usually like slow songs. But this one really grows on me. I didn't like it when I first heard it. (It's also featured on No-Secrets.net) But now I like to listen to it a lot now. There are a lot of songs like this in the world and I think the topic is getting overused but No Secrets adds their spin on it and it makes it a definite play over! The chorus is the best in my opinion because it seems like the song opens up when the chorus plays. Again, it's hard to explain... just listen and you'll know what I mean.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Single, October 6, 2005
This review is from: That's What Girls Do / Comes Back (Audio CD)
These girls are talented and lovely at the same time. In entertainment, that's a lethal combination. The songs are catchy and fun to dance to. These songs can even make a lousy dancer like me look good on the dance floor...well, maybe not. But I still love these songs. Plus I'm replacing what I lost in a car fire. That's the last time I buy a Nissan Sentra.

4.0 out of 5 stars i love no secrets!, August 3, 2002
By
colleen (charleston, sc) - See all my reviews
This review is from: That's What Girls Do / Comes Back (Audio CD)
this is a great single, i can't wait for the full cd to come out
the first track, that's what girls do is about how guys don't understand girls sometimes
track 2, "comes back" is about when friends turn they're back on you and how it will all "come back" to them in the end
there are three snippets: skin deep; about when someone only likes you for what you look like and not what's inside;
"what are you waiting for": about when a girl likes a guy and she wants him to make the first move;
i'll remember you; is about when a close friend moves away (it's a ballad)
all of the songs on this cd are very "poppy" and upbeat
i've also heard three other songs of no secrets and really great too

I have listened to a few "girl groups:" PYT (which broke up), Dream, Play, and now No Secrets. No Secrets does not impress me much. They have 5 members, unlike the other groups that I mentioned that all have 4 members.
What I did not like:
1. All the girls look about 13-14 and they have way too much makeup on. The bleach blonde looks like a total bimbo.
2. "That's What Girls Do" is totally annoying.
3. These girls need singing lessons. They cannot harmonize at all.
4. There is no lead singer. In all the other groups I listed, there is one/two member/s that consistently sing lead and bring the music together (Ashley of PYT, Holly of Dream, Faye/Anais of Play). In my opinion, there should be at least one, or maybe two, lead singers in every group of more than 3.
Things I liked:
1. "Comes Back" - good rhythm, somewhat good vocals
2. "Skin Deep" - lyrics sound promising, vocalist on this song sounds good.
I have not yet decided whether I will purchase the entire album, but I would definitely rank this group lower than Dream and Play. Once they get a little bit older (15-16), develop better singing abilities, and get a lead singer, this group might do well.

This review is from: That's What Girls Do / Comes Back (Audio CD)
I know that most of the people listening to this music are just kids, but come on, people! How can you think that this generic sugar-coated pop [stuff] is actually music!? This music, like anything by Avril Lavigne, Aaron Carter, Play, Dream, or any of those other [guys], is carefully designed and marketed ...for the Cartoon Network viewing robots that make up pre-teen America. You see the commercials for their [bad] CD's right alongside the Cheerios and Playstation 2 commercials. Not that there is anything wrong with Cheerios or Playstation 2, they are great products. But music should not be just a product.

Take my advice, kids. There are wonderful bands out there that you won't be seeing commercials for on the Cartoon Network (or anywhere else, usually). Bands and artists like Tool, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, The Police, Pearl Jam, Barenaked Ladies, David Bowie, Tori Amos, Coldplay, Radiohead, etc., etc. These are all mainstream artists, and yet they are truly talented, with intelligent lyrics, amazing singing voices, beautifully complex, layered, and heart-wrenching music, and refreshing and original ideas. Some of their music is poppy, lighthearted and catchy, and some of it is raw and blistering with emotion. Some of it is soothing, and some of it is haunting and disturbing. There is so much variety in the music catalogs of just the handful of bands that I mentioned here, that anyone could find something they liked. Why resign yourselves to the ...mainstream, corporate popular music? Which is exactly what you're doing when you plunk down your cash for these "here today, gone tomorrow" pop groups. And if you like music with more of an R&B flavor, why not get Erykah Badu or Fiona Apple or Lauryn Hill or something? Heck, even Janet Jackson is better than these girls. But I would say stick to her earlier work.

One day you guys will be embarrassed that you ever spent money on this cheap imitation of music. I hope when that happens, you'll remember the names of the bands I mentioned, and decide to check them out. You'll discover an entire world you never knew existed. Sounds dramatic, I know, but trust me. I just hope that maybe one of you will take my advice to heart before you waste years of your life listening to this [stuff].
