The authors of this book have made thorough research before writing the book, and that benefits the reader. You will find all the details you need about your car, which in it's turn will make you a better Beetle-owner.

This book rates as one of my favorites and I would recommend this one to anyone serious about vintage Beetles!
If you're serious about having your Beetle 100% original this book shows the reader the 49-59 annual changes made to the Beetle and what options are correct based on serial (production) numbers of the car.
It also shows correct paint codes and the options for the different models of the car (deluxe, standard, or export).
This period of the production of the Beetle is probably the favorite for any vintage fan and this book is definately an interesting and informative read.

This book is a must have for anyone wanted to restore a bug with original, authentic equipment. It is also a great reference on how to find information and getting started.

The book features multiple photos and detailed descriptions of the differences in exterior and interior design, equipment and details between the different years over the period 1949-1959, especially useful for those who have a Split, an Oval, or the first generation of Square rear window VW, and wish to perform a repair or restoration to strictly genuine patterns.

This book is fantastic! Everything you might need/want to know about a bug is here in easy to read/understand text with XLNT pic's and illustrations to make use of use while you plan your purchase and/or restoration of your beloved bug. This book is a useful tool in separating the "contenders from the pretenders" in the often times confusing world of the bug in it's many subtly differing variations. I use the book daily while browsing the net for the next great thing to buy/dream about.I highly recommend the purchase of this book for anyone who is a serious bug aficinado.
