I agree with other reviewers about the organization of the book. It leaves a lot to be desired. The testimonials scattered throughout, are fine, IF at the end of the book you can list all the meals for each type of day, and in an ebook link to the recipes. Having to thumb through it any time you are looking for a meal or recipe is more than a tad annoying. In a hard copy, have the meals and then the recipes-- all the lo-carb and then regular carb days.
That said, I lost 8 pounds in the first two weeks, was not hungry, and happily lost most of my sweet cravings. And any recipe I used, I enjoyed. I can see this concept working long term.

I bought this book about a year ago after reading research on low carb eating two days each week in Prevention magazine. I made significant progress on this diet and lost about 25 lbs in four months. I also went back to lifting weights two days per week using the Strong Women Stay Slim book. In addition, I used some Leslie Sansone walk at home DVDs; working my way up from the one mile walk to the 2&3 mile walks. I did not walk everyday but 2-3 days a week. I am a retired educator who was 66 years old when I started the diet. I found the hardcover book easy to follow & easy to read. My son & daughter-in-law gave me a small Fit Bit device that clips on my bra for my birthday near the end of August. This allowed me to easily track distance walked & calories burned each day & encouraged me to walk more. I really like the plan & it was very effective for me. I spend part of each week caring for my grandson at my son's house about 100 miles from where I live. At the time, they were seriously into the Paleo diet & there was little at their house to tempt me off course on my low carb days. That made it easy to eat low carb the two days I spent at their house. Then things changed. I got busy with the end of the year holidays & family dinners. Then the college student who helped them started her internship. They bought a new house & started preparing to move in February & we rejoiced when we learned a new baby was coming into the family in August. So, my focus shifted off me & more on helping this young family. I started spending 5 days per week at their house. I was unable to maintain my workouts. I took weights, DVDs & workout clothes over there but after chasing a toddler all day, I was too exhausted to make the effort. Read more ›

I think it's a good diet but I didn't care for all the success stories interwoven through out. I wanted to get through all the details of the diet and it was annoying to have to swipe through all of them. Also it would be nice if the links opened in a web page so you could print.

I think this plan is a pretty good plan-very well balanced and the recipes are easy.
However, since you follow a set daily menu & use a shopping list, they should provide links via the Kindle format that you can use to print the menus/shopping list out-not just some empty journal pages.
Or have a website that you can only access with a code that comes with the purchase of this book.
It's 2013-help a girl out!

I was successful on this easy to follow diet but having it on my kindle made it difficult to follow. Every time I wanted to refer back to a meal plan or recipe I had to scroll through pages to find it. I plan to purchase the book since it is something I will be returning to constantly.
If carbs are your weight loss issue, this diet really works.

I feel this type of book would be easier to read in hard copy because I had to spend a lot of time hitting the next page button to get to the recipes. I have no problem reading other's success stories but felt the same subject matter was repeated a lot. I'm sorry I purchased this book as an e book and will probably purchase it in hard copy.
