My sugar was out of control. Within one week on this program I was able to stop all medications and have normal sugar levels.

This book had a lot of repetition of information. The book could have been well written in about half the words.
The information was good and the diet is working for me to reduce my blood glucose levels. I have also lost about fifteen pounds on this diet. I will continue using this food plan slowly re introducing dinner into my food plan in about another ninety days and will see what happens. I am grateful for this book and to it's authors. This book is useful for people that don't know much about diabetes, but is mainly the "diet and exercise" program that most diabetics already know about. They do not address the topic of nutritional supplements and vitamins/minerals that are useful in controlling blood sugar levels. There is some useful information, guidelines and recipes, but a lot of this is common sense or common knowledge.

I really appreciated this book. It taught me a lot about diabetes and the dangers of a bad diet---I had thought I knew s lot about diet, but this was a real eye-opener. I have followed the diet fairly strtictly for six weeks now, and have lost 15 lbs and am beginning to feel much, much better.

If you're only going to buy one book after being diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes BUY THIS ONE. I'm serious. Clear, well written, incredibly descriptive and informative. You'll be glad you did. I certainly am.

Don't know if I can stay on such a diet. Don't have a lot of money to purchase this certain food.I am used to eating meat and eggs and diary.

Very informative but be prepared to do a lot of studying. Didn't know it was vegan. Has exercises and recipes. Plan seems easy to understand.

This began as part of a major overhaul in my health and i found this extremely helpful on many levels. It served as a guide post for me to hitch my eating habits to. I am not and probably will never become the total vegan it advocates but shifting to a plant based diet has changed my life in many ways unimaginable. First, I lost weight without trying. Second, I could feel my blood sugar lowering. Third, it isn't hard at all and I am saving hundreds of dollars a month on food.

I would recommend this book wholeheartedly. Read it. Take what you need. Change your life.
