Eight Months Before The Clue Hunt

I love the original 39 Clues books, and have on my short list to read the second series The Cahills vs. Vespers, but this short series released between December 25th and December 31st 2011 really caught my attention. 7 Days 7 Short Stories each give us part of a clue and more background information on some of the characters from the books. If the other 6 are as good as this one, they will be more than worth the price of $0.99 each.

This short story starts on Christmas Eve, the year before the hunt for the 39 Clues begins. We find out that Grace knew she was dying and that she was aware of the Vespers' history. We also meet Dan and Amy and get some more insight into their character. The short story has a fast pace and before you know it you are done. And even though it fills in more pieces of the overall story arc, it leaves you wanting to know more. I am glad I picked up the eBook and if you like the other books, I guarantee that you will be also.

Ok since when does a 'story' so short become a 'book'. It was absolutley way too short though I did enjoy the plot of the planning and pre-39 clues drama. One thing I really liked is the price. Overall the story is good but not the length. I read this in one 15 minute sitting do you tell me if the story and price is worth it.

Love this series! Didn't know it was out until after I started reading the Cahill's vs. Vespers series so there was a small gap in how all the kids from the branches had sorta got together and are getting along.
My advise is read the Rapid Fire series before the Cahill's vs Vespers series, it is not necessary but it flows a lot better.

this short story takes place months before the clue hunt begins. This story makes you realize Amy and Dan can manage escape skills before the 39 clues and they are not as weak as the other teams belived. also it was interesting that before the clue hunt started they had a expirence with the vespers.

It gives the perfect explanation to why Grace even allowed Amy and Dan to join the clue hunt. Short and sweet

This was an amazing book, but WAY shorter than I thought it would be. I love how it was before Grace died, and how Amy and Dan actually met the vespers before Cahills v.s. Vespers. I love how Dan loves ninjas, because in the original series, he does really well because of his ninja-ish-ness.

Are These Real?
Already read the first one. They're short stories in the vein of those find in books like VESPERS RISING and THE BLACK BOOK OF SECRETS. And they definitely fill in some very interesting details. They take place at different times throughout the series. LEGACY takes place before THE MAZE OF BONES.... Read More
