Editorial Reviews

Review

"Genius! Terrific!  I recommend this book to everyone who has passwords. I have secured all of my 60+ Passwords." -  Marilyn Bohn, Professional Organizer. Author of 'Go Organize'

"The 5th Dimension Password Keeper is the perfect solution for I.T. Professionals." David, I.T. Specialist

From the Author

Experts agree that the worst place to keep passwords ... is in your computer.
All forms of electronic storage, whether browser based, file based or software based all have the same flaws: they are under constant assault by hackers and other evil doers. This is in addition to simply being susceptible to loss during a computer failure or power outage.
The solution is to store passwords by writing them down in a book. Of course, the obvious danger with this method is that if the book is ever lost or stolen ... well, you can imagine the effects.
But it doesn't have to be this way anymore. The 5th Dimension Password Keeper System is the only password storage solution that is safe from online hackers and offline thieves.
Without a doubt it is, "The World's Most Secure Internet Password Organizer" (tm)

1.0 out of 5 stars There are better password systems April 2, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Some of the material in this book is good, e.g., don't use 123456 as your password and use different passwords for different accounts. But the password keeper part is weak. Issues:
1. You will need to keep the book with you to reconstruct your password.
2. If an evil-doer does get your book and you have labeled pages as designed they will have a too short of list of potential passwords to try. There are a limited number of starting points in each grid and a limited number of directions to go. If you start to close to an edge your password will be short.

A better way to go is with a pass phrase tailored to each site. E.g.,
Start with "A rolling stone gathers no moss."
1. Take the first letter of each word - arsgnm
2. Change some characters in a memorable way, e.g., S -> 5 - ar5gnm
3. Add prefix and suffix unique to each account, e.g., suppose this is for myspace. Then take first vowel as prefix and last vowel as suffix - aar5gnme

Bought and tried "The 5th Dimension Password Keeper". Had a problem with some password requirements until I followed the suggestion posted by Michael. Works just fine now. Many thanks. Would purchase another.
