Book Description

The first three books in Liliana Hart's best selling Addison Holmes Mysteries!

My name is Addison Holmes, and I teach history at James Madison High School in Whiskey Bayou, Georgia. You might be under the assumption that my life went to the dogs when my fiancé left me at the altar for the home economics teacher, or when I got notice that my apartment building was going to be condemned, or even when I was desperate enough to strip to my unmentionables to earn some extra cash. The truth is that I'm pretty much used to disasters following me around on a daily basis, but I could have gone without finding my principal dead in the parking lot of a seedy gentlemen's club.

After the initial shock of finding my first dead body, which included throwing back shots of Jack Daniels like it was water, I decided to take stock of my life. I was in a desperate situation and if the school board ever found out I'd been a stripper, even a bad stripper, I'd be jobless as well as fiancé-less and homeless. Fortunately, I had a friend who felt sorry enough for me to give me a job doing some surveillance work at her detective agency. Not to mention the fact that I was now able to stick my nose into other people's business for a good cause, find a murderer, and pick up helpful tips from an incredibly attractive detective.

Come check out my story and be thankful your life is relatively normal.

Addison Holmes is at it again. When priceless Russian gems are stolen on their way to Savannah and the courier is murdered, all the clues lead back to an escort service that seems above reproach. But looks can be deceiving.

Throw in a sexy detective and a dangerous FBI agent, and Addison finds out very quickly that she's in way over her head. But nothing is going to stop her from getting her man.

The Private Investigator's Handbook

Rule #1: Don't break the law

Rule #2: See Rule #1

...And then there's Addison Holmes, who makes up her handbook as she goes along.

Addison is licensed to carry and she means business. The only thing getting in her way is a sexy detective, a neighborhood watch from hell, a dead billionaire, a black market sperm bank, and a long lost heir.

Piece of cake...

4.0 out of 5 stars THE ADDISON HOLMES MYSTERY BOX SET May 1, 2014

Woo-hoo, I discovered a new (to me) author and a great mystery series. Can't believe this was on sale. Stephanie Plum, Joe Morelli and Ranger have nothing on Addison, Nick and Savage. They are hot, hot, hot! Hope the series continues for 20 or so more books. I laughed my ass off and plan to keep on reading as many as she writes. Also, will check out some of the other books by Liliana Hart, I'm sure they will be good as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lively Protagonist September 1, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
A foundation is lain in Whiskey Rebellion to introduce the reader to Addison Holmes, a feisty history teacher who lives in Whiskey Bayou, Georgia. Disasters and daring, couple, fortified by Jack Daniels' shots to bolster confidence, until, Addison discovers the dead principal. Addison has an acute perceptibility level for sniffing out clues and trouble. She is quite capable of finding the murderer. She accepts work for a friend by doing surveillance. A charming introduction to a character we can root for.

In Whiskey Sour, Addison has branched out. She is investigating stolen Russian gems. An escort service seems reputable, but clues point to shadowy deals that aren't entirely in sync. Addison doesn't back away. Her motto should be, full steam ahead. Secrets don't stay buried for long. Mind satisfied, the conclusion works.

In Whiskey For Breakfast, Addison is a wiley sprite intent upon proving her growing capabilities to herself, and the world at large. She differs, butting heads with a neighbourhood watch from hell, while trying to manoeuvre around a dead billionaire. Situations are made, and fit perfectly, the lively characters in this three pack. Addison's escapades are not impeded by the short breathing interludes. Everyone can admire her spunk. Mix that with daring bravado and brains, and Addison Holmes is destined to become a favourite challenge for all.
Excellent protagonist. Keeps the reader guessing. If one cannot use words for weapons, they might want to call upon Addison for
backup support. I enjoyed Liliana Hart' s first three novels of the Addison Holmes Series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good May 7, 2014

a set of cute and fun reads. they are a little funny a little romantic and a little suspenseful but they do not fully develop the story in a any of those areas. as a result I was left wanting more romance OR more suspense OR more humor. with that said they are a fast read and we tree e not a totAl waste of money.

1.) I have a Coke first thing every morning instead of coffee.

2.) I try to read at least one book a day (when I'm not on deadline), sometimes two or three if I have the itch. Reading is one of my greatest pleasures.

3.) I decided to be a writer my freshman year of college. Which, of course, is why I majored in music and art history.

4.) I started writing my first book when I was eighteen. It was about a 30-year-old virgin assassin. Yes, you read that right. It's buried in the far corner of my closet.

5.) I didn't complete my first book until I was twenty-five, but I've written nineteen books since then. I'm 32.

6.) I love being a writer. It gives me an excuse to think about different ways to kill people and to take weird vacations for the tax deductions.

7.) I could eat macaroni and cheese every day. I love it! But my hips do not.

8.) I'm very slow to make new friends. I'm a pretty solitary person, so when you see me at booksignings and conventions, I'm completely out of my comfort zone, which is why it's so nice when I have readers come up and talk to me like they already know me. It puts me at ease.

9.) My favorite cities are: New Orleans, Louisiana--Dublin, Ireland--Vevey, Switzerland--Napa Valley, California

10.) I like Milk Duds more than I probably should. I'm sure one day it'll catch up to me.

11.) I love to travel. I'm perfectly content to wake up on a random morning and say, I'm going here today." And then I'll buy a plane ticket and pack a suitcase. There are still so many places I'd love to see.

12.) I spent a summer in Ireland when I was in college with a random family I'd never met or spoken to before. It was one of the bravest and most adventurous things I've done. A great experience.

13.) I hated high school. If I could go back and do it over I'd try to graduate early and get the heck out of there.

14.) I have a weakness for fast cars.

15.) I performed at Carnegie Hall when I was in college, and toured Europe with a percussion ensemble one summer.

16.) I spent four years in college majoring in Percussion. It is now completely useless since I'm writing books full time, but it does give me an advantage when playing Rock Band.

17.) I'm addicted to gaming. When I take vacations between books, a good part of the time goes to playing RPGs.

18.) The cleanest place I've ever been is Switzerland.

19.) I don't gamble. When I go to Vegas I spend my time at concerts and shows.

20.) Purple is my favorite color. Go Frogs! (TCU alum)

21.) I love a good mystery.

22.) I've had impacted wisdom teeth for years, but I have no desire to get them taken out.

23.) The Keurig is the best invention known to man. I love my English breakfast tea.

24.) I like to sit down in the shower. I'll often stick my Kindle in a plastic bag and read in there for an hour.

25.) I spend a lot of time thinking of ways to kill people, and I have a tendency to zone out in the middle of a conversation if it's a really good idea.
