I ordered this product for my son, stationed in Afghanistan. I had my siblings, nephews, nieces, friends, etc. all write on the cards so my son had a special note from each person through the Advent Season. What a fabulous gift for him. It was a quality product and a great concept.

My family and I used this advent calendar for the first time this year, and we are going to use it every year from now on. What a beautiful Christmas tradition! This is not a typical advent calendar that feeds into the consumerism of the holiday with toys or chocolates in each box, but allows you to write personal messages to your children while telling the nativity story... which is what Christmas is all about: love, family, and the birth of Jesus Christ! I absolutely love this advent calendar and I recommend it to all.

I purchased this advent calendar to send to my deployed husband. I assembled it and sent it to him. I had friends and family write little notes which I put inside the envelopes and I tied candies to each day. He really enjoyed it, and it really brightened his boring chu. The box and additional materials were a very nice touch. It is religious in nature, fyi, which is not a problem for me, but this wouldn't be a good gift for an atheist.
