He's just that bad.
Agent Orange
This has to been the most boring, uninterested, poorly written thing I've read in a very long time.
Souls
Not really worth anyone's time.

What do you get when you take a severely untalented "artist", some of the worst writing I've seen, and print it all out onto a dead tree in an effort to make a quick dollar or two off of the poor suckers willing to buy it?

I don't know, but I feel really sorry for the poor tree that had this wretch printed onto it.

I just wish I could give it less than 1 star...

I was thinking of writing a lengthy, well thought out review, but then I realised I could save myself and the people that read reviews several hundred words if I just came out and said that this is the worst graphic novel I have read in my life. Andrew Dobson, also known as Tom Preston, must have a seriously inflated opinion on the quality of his own work.

By far one of the worst "comic" books I have ever encountered. Art is flat and unappealing, humor is non-exsistant and story is lacking to say the least. Also creator prides himself on being the victim and never taking any criticism on his art which explains the terrible work.

"The Adventures of Alex Ze Pirate" should be renamed "The Adventures of Ranma In a Pirate Costume". Tom Preston, the creator of this atrocity is a hypocrite beyond the word. He hates anime but it's clear that it's one of his biggest influences. His ego is so inflated he should be floating. If you don't like this comic, but hope he can do better; stop yourself from thinking that. Mr. Preston accepts no criticism and holds his opinion as the one and only. His humor is very similar to anti-humor, except he's not purposely unfunny. He's just that bad. If there was an option to rate something a zero, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would use it here.

Now, this may be just me, but I think the artist has an inflated ego, of sorts. I can gather that his webcomic and this comic share the same style and, let me tell you, even with the inflation of prices recently, I wouldn't spend $19 on this!
I dunno, I guess i'm just blowing hot air at this point.

Anyway, If this comic series and artist Pump you up, and reading it inflates your mood, more power to you!
I just don't happen to be moved by someone whose head tends to be in the clouds

These comics are remarkably unfunny, to the point where I wonder if they're purposefully unfunny. But if that were the case, they would still not be funny. I can't believe this is real.

I can't believe this is even real. The art is bad, the writing is flat, the characters are generic. I bet the second-hand book store won't even take it in for credit - it's that bad!

I can't believe this is $20. Andrew stole most of this art from some manga. He isn't a good cartoonist and he isn't good at stealing the art, 90% of the proportions are messed up, the story is extremely generic and uninteresting. There really isn't any value here. Don't give this egotistical joke money, he actually has quotes from deviantart.com on the back instead of professional reviewers so that says something.
