Book Description

July 26, 2011
Meet Caroline Madison, a CIA operative who is deep undercover running The Agency, the premier talent agency in Los Angeles. Using her Hollywood clout, CIA training and a network of special agents posing as actors, paparazzi and beyond, Caroline masterminds the latest form of propaganda: mass entertainment distraction. By secretly manipulating her celebrity clients, Caroline generates entertainment scandals that distract a gossip-hungry American public from political affairs. Caroline successfully navigates her dual identity until one day, her personal life is thrust into the limelight and she becomes a victim of her own design. As her two worlds collide, Caroline struggles to salvage what’s left of her splintering identity in order to beat the system that created her.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally loved this book September 18, 2011
By JKA
Format:Paperback
The Agency immediately grabs the reader with a carefully-crafted story of a fascinating connection between the CIA and the Hollywood scene. After reading the real-life examples of events at the start of each chapter, you will most certainly watch the news more carefully.

The main character, Caroline, is a strong complicated woman with very real emotions. In order to be successful in her career, Caroline has to sacrifice her own personal happiness as well as her very identity. The story is not only compelling but a delight to read. In fact, when I was only half-way through the book, I was raving about it so much at a family dinner that one of my nieces "stole" my copy. Luckily, I had my Kindle with me and was able to download the book so I could finish it that evening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! July 18, 2012
Format:Paperback
A friend recommended The Agency to me and I was glad she did. This is kind of a combination Alias meets Entourage novel. I would love to see The Agency picked up for a TV series. It's that good! I really appreciated the author's inside view into the world of major hollywood entertainment agencies. Great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars truth and/ or fiction = government and celebrity November 3, 2011
By pattyb
Format:Paperback
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the format used to create it. I looked forward to the beginning of each new chapter to see how THE AGENCY
would divert the public's attention away from a negative government activity. The story line was easy to follow but creative and circuitous
routes took you there. The "heroine", Caroline, the government agent and the primary in "The Agency" lived an exciting, albeit, somewhat unstable life.
She was clever and smart. The characters were quirky and egotistical. There were dark sides to some of the characters making it a fun read.
Caroline lived life on the edge every day and put her personal needs on the back burner for the good of the country. Dangerous, exciting, funny, clever, with
elements of real life in the "industry". The ending was unexpected, but great fun getting there. Can't wait for the sequel and possibly a movie?
