I loved the world building, the supporting characters, and the plot. I did not love the romance between the lead characters, it left me feeling cold. The male lead just never seemed that interested, maybe at times the author threw in a growl or a heated look, but otherwise they could have been friends. The author did a poor job of building that chemistry between the characters, in my opinion. I liked the characters, just not the romance.

I thought I was becoming a little jaded with all the paranormal romance i have been consuming lately, then I opened this one. Wow, just loved it from the start. Literally couldnt put it down, luckily I work at night and there is sometimes an opportunity to read when its quiet. Last night was one such night and I read the whole book. Great characters, I was almost yelling at Marshall that Elizabeth didnt sleep with Charles. Almost but that would have woken my patients and then I would have had to put the book down so I manages to contain myself. Just loved it.

Whole new twist for those who love werewolf romance! Great leading lady and man (The Alpha) and also a wonderful supporting crew of characters that I hope get their own stories some day soon! It was sweet, funny, with a lot of danger and mystery to round it out. The love scenes were wonderful, if a little tame so if your not into hard core sex scenes this is a great read for you! This is the first book I have read from this author, but it won't be the last!

It took me only a few minutes to realize how terrible this book is. In the opening scene the main character gets into a car crash, and the only way her actions make any sense is if she had massive brain damage. The first sign that something was off was when the hero carried her away form the crashed car. Her reaction? Lick him. Why would you start licking a stranger? It was hard for me to recover from that. Then she's in a house and hears a strange noise... near the woods. You hear an animal in the woods, what do you do? What she did was run outside towards it, then freak out when its a couple wolves, and grab a gun. What is wrong with this lady?? If any sane person heard an animal in the woods they would roll over and go back to sleep. Then there are the inconsistencies- she quit her job to go live in a cabin in the woods for a year... but when she was told of someone else doing that she says I can't imagine giving up modern living to go live in a cabin in the woods!
I haven't gotten very far in this book, but I don't think I have to read any further. Clearly, this woman is insane. Maybe it gets better later in the book, but I'm not staying to find out.

I did like some of the humor in the book, but the relationship between the hero and heroine was a bit flat. I could have used a more aggresive Alpha. That being said, it did enjoy the book but I will not read it again

Elizabeth need some peace and quite, so rents a cabin in the mountains to get away. On the way she almost hits a wolf, runs her car off the road and gets caught in her panties by the hot Chief of police. The people on the mountain become her friends after helping her fix up the cabin she has rented, but they have a secret. While Elizabeth is dealing with her attraction Marshall, some men come to town who want her for their own. Elizabeth finds out the town secret and she has to deal with the fact that she was born for Marshall and if that means that he really loves her. Elizabeth seemed to be a needy woman, at times she was wasn't very smart. When she needed to be she was strong and got the job done, she did have instances where she was overemotional thought. Marshall was the alpha wolf, but I just didn't see it. Yes he was stronger than the other males, but there was just something about him that didn't command respect to me. The towns' people were quirky and added some hilarity and conflict, but overall I can't really remember any of them. The bad guys in the book just seemed a little cliché to me and I don't believe that Marshall's brother suddenly had a change of heart. I just didn't really care about the characters and because of that I couldn't really get into the book. The writing itself however was really good. The timing was good and some of the descriptions did make me see the mountains from the characters eyes, I just didn't enjoy the story.

Love this book, the heroine is reluctant and confused and really doesn't know what she's getting into. A little different than your normal "werewolf romance." Definitely more character development and more about the community than I see in alot of similar novels.

I admit I'm being a little hard on this book. This isn't a werewolf book, it's a wolver book. They're a little different than werewolves and some of that made me dock my rating down. I like my wolves to mate for life and these wolvers can get a new mate if their mate dies.

Most of the book seemed silly to me in the way the characters acted. I liked Elizabeth, she was cute and funny and a little weirdish. Marshall was a good man, I just wish the depth we got from him was a little more flushed out and talked about more. I felt we got more of the town folk and not as much of the couple as I would have liked.

The climax though! Wow! I was impressed and totally engrossed with how well the climax was. And then the last chapter ended so abruptly, in my opinion. I wanted just two or three more pages to tie up loose ends between the brothers and show the mantle a little more. Thankfully that climax was as good as it was or I'd probably rate this lower.

Despite my nagging, this was a cute wolver read that will have you engrossed by the end and wanting more.
