The historic city of Annapolis, Maryland is not only Maryland's state capital and home to the U.S. Naval academy, but is now the site for one of the Nation's up-and-coming premier triathlon events. Race Day Films was on hand to film the first ever Annapolis Triathlon on September 9, 2007. This Olympic distance triathlon boasts a 1.5K swim, a 38K bike, and a 10K run. Experience the swim in the Severn River, the ride over the rolling countryside of Anne Arundel County Maryland and the run through the historic city of Annapolis passing by the famous United States Naval Academy. On this DVD, you will experience a 45 minute documentary of the race event, it's organizers and participants. Our host, Kera O'Bryan, and a USA Triathlon certified coach will guide you through this unique race. In the second half of the DVD, you will Experience the Course for both the bike and run legs of the race. This training pace, video preview of the course includes expert commentary and GPS accurate maps and elevation profiles.
About the Director
Multi-award-winning Director/Writer/Producer Kevin R. Hershberger graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and served eight years as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. Along with his film work, Kevin is a founder of the new Virginia Production Alliance and sits on the advisory panel of the Virginia Motion Picture Incentive Task Force. Since 1999, Kevin's film projects have won 45 national and international film festival and industry awards.
