I'm a June Bronhill fan, and this is one of her most delightful recordings. She leads a fine singing cast recreating an Edwardian era mega box office hit from England, typical operetta stuff, which should tell you immediately if you will like this or not. There are some wonderful songs including The Pipes of Pan and All down Picadilly. Its nice stuff, recorded with a good sense of the style. Also included are some selections by the original cast, some rather dreadful sounding 78s. I can not tell about the voices because the surface noise and sonics are poor. You probably won't be buying this for those cuts, and if you are your ear will be more attunded to the sound of very old records than mine is. I enjoy this quite a lot.

I was fortunate enough to see an Ohio Light Opera Production of this delightful but rarely done music hall operetta. The OLO recording is more complete, but if you just want to listen to the music, this recording is great.

I have been an admirer of June Bronhill for many years and her voice is at its peak in this recording. The clarity of diction of all singers is excellent. Highly recommended.
