More About the Author

A lover of literature, good music, movies, and art, Fabiola Joseph is multifaceted. She was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and while in middle school, she found her passion for reading and writing. She began her love affair with the power of the written word, and it was clear that writing was her destiny.

In 2011, The Art of Deceit, a novel about the grime that dwells behind the shadows of Hip Hop, through the eyes of a video vixen, was released. In 2012, she co-authored the erotic tale, Porn Stars 1 & 2, which provided readers with a behind-the-set look into the pornographic life style. November 2012, Fabiola unleashed the fifteen-year-old serial killer, Scarlett Rose. Rebel's Domain is new and exciting, and brings something different and captivating. Suffocating in darkness, this teenager is nothing like any girl you've ever read about before. Her newest release is NIYA: Rainbow dreams. Niya explores the world of a stud lesbian named, Niya and her best friend, Jamilla. This is a story about two young women who are coming to terms with who they are. It's a touching tale of friendship, love, dreams, and murder. Niya 2: Dreamer's Paradise was released in 2014, continuing the Niya saga.

Ms. Joseph also published two short stories The Bully Bangers, which deals with a growing problem in America's schools. The Bully Bangers brings justice to the jilted with a twist where the predators become the prey. Truth or Death brings to the readers a new meaning to couple's therapy and the repercussions of a man who is living a double life.

Fabiola is uncompromising when it comes to her work. She believes that for her... there is no box, so never try to fit her talents into one. Taking risks, being open and free within the realms of her words, and writing from the heart is the only code she lives by within the domain of literature. Enter her world and she promises that you will not come out the same. With her pen, she plans on changing the world.

The Art Of Deceit

This book was CRAZY!!!!! Tangie is a BEAST! I have a love/hate relationship with this character. The love part is - the girl is bad...she gets whatever she wants and is willing to step on anyone to get it. I love and admire her drive and ambition. The hate part is - she did some good people wrong because she was being selfish like poor Carl for instance. He loved her dirty drawls, but he was only a mere pawn in her game of chess. Then there was Amira...that poor child (I cried when I read this). I won't say what happened..you need to experience this scene for yourself. And Tay'von...he has some serious issues (i'll leave it at that) Shamika...well she got what was coming to her...I never liked that heffa...trying to be boughetto (LOL) And Black!!!!! I can't believe you...ugh I was so angry with you!

All the secrets that are revealed at the end will leave you speechless and thirsty for more. Great job!!!! I wish I could give it 10 stars!!

The Art of Deceit by Fabiola Joseph

This is my first opportunity to read something from this author. Fabiola Joseph brought it in this hip hop urban story. Tangie the main character is nothing nice. She is what most people would consider a snake. However, everybody seems to love her from Tayvon (Mr. Too Fine)to Amira and Carl. There is no one safe from her venom once she sets her sight on them. Everytime I would think this book couldn't get any more devious Ms. Joseph would add another piece to the puzzle that was Tangie. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There were few to no errors and I will be looking forward to reading the sequel to see just what happens next. Kudos, Ms. Joseph for a job well done.

Happy Reading,

There are very few new authors that get it ALL right the first time but Fabiola Joseph is a new force to be reckoned with. I thought I was going to get the average groupie meets rapper story and I got everything but that. I loved everything about this story from beginning to end. The twist were perfectly timed and the turns will blow your mind. Be prepared for a story like none other that will leave your jaw hanging from the hinges because just when you think you know what's going to happen... Guess what???? YOU DON'T!!!!

This is the first time i have read this authors work, Its very good this is a book you can't put down for the suspense of knowing what going to happen with Tangie. From the beginning it was Deceit, which made the book interesting to see this main character have such a Black Heart to do the things to people just to get what she wanted,The betrayal that was going on in this book to what was suppose to be peers, and the ending i didn't see coming ....Kudos to Ms. Joseph will be looking out for Pt 2

Perhaps I missed something, or my copy of the book was not the same as everyone elses. I do not understand how this book got so many five star ratings. I am still trying to figure out what the premise of the story is. For one, I thought that this was an urban fiction novel, not an erotic novel. Don't get me wrong, I like a good sex scene, but there was sex in EVERY chapter of this book. Seriously... How many times can someone go down on you, finger you, you ride them, or give them head before you've heard that same song and dance enough? I mean we get it, ole girl likes sex. The fact that it was repeated over and over and over again was a hot mess because it lead me to believe she had a mental problem, though the book never tells you one way or the other what is wrong with her.

That's the other thing about this book that turned me off. Tangie has no background. All we know is that her mother died in a plane crash and that her father is a brazilian photographer (of course because she can't just be a regular black chick and be stunningly beautiful). That being said, we dont know why she wants to deceive everyone or why she does the things she does. Frankly, her actions at the very end of the book seem completely out of left field. I suppose the author wanted to throw a twist in there but it was a twist out of nowhere. For her to suddenly commit murder after all she'd done was screw people (and I mean sexually) was a complete wtf moment... and not in a good way.

Shameka's deal with Carmello made absolutely no sense whatsoever. I suppose the author was trying to get us to develop an interest in the second book to find out what the point was, but it was executed poorly. I dont care what the deal was at this point... don't care if anybody will survive.

First of all let me say Fabiola, you are fabolous. It is a breath of fresh air to read something different. Tangie is a very complex character with an evil side from HELL. She gives no regard to anybody's feelings, but her own. Surprisingly she had a vulnerable side too, and that made her character feel more realistic to me. I loved the book from start to finish, because there was never a dull moment. Fabiola really did her thing with this book and I can't wait for part two. Keep doing your thing Fabiola. I am a new fan waiting patiently for part two! I really need to know Tangie's back story. Can't wait!
