The Art Of Cold Calling was written by author Dave D. Blondeel Timmerman, who made cold calling a vehicle of transformation. These days we live in there are people looking for more meaning and fulfillment in their lives. Some among them are aware of how to create more meaning and depth in their existence. For the author it’s clear that to create more meaning and fulfillment in life, it’s a matter of change in experiencing life’s daily activities like working a job, running a business and doing physical exercises. According to his vision on life one needs to live fully in the moment of now to achieve little successes which build a chain of achievements resulting in huge fulfillment. Accomplishment will give way and create space for even more success and happiness. The author’s message is to find a way to lead a life of success, fulfillment and inner peace via daily occupations like working a job. Challenges in many area’s in life have to be conquered and the experiences will result in a transformation enabling us to appreciate life more, find inner silence, balance and peace. It’s his goal to expose his philosofy through his book. Although he loves cold calling the author knows it’s one way out of many to achieve the same results. There is more than only financial rewards which keep the inner flame burning to continue being successful in a job or business. Staying inspired and motivated makes us survive in days of economic recession. Intrinsical motivation and inspiration will thrive people to not only survive as a cold caller, sales rep, telemarketer or business owner but make a shift from mediocre business results to outstanding performance. After all that’s what we want; we like to see our accomplishments and successes. And to achieve that one needs to develop oneself personally, spiritually and physically to maintain inspiration and focus. The author’s way of life is one of inner silence, balance and strength, purity, focus, mental and physical fitness, spiritual and personal deepening, martial arts, running and works outs. It’s important to live in harmony with one self and the universe for the inner power and harmony are the driving forces to achieve success and fulfillment in any area of life.

Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The book is a page turner. Once you start reading, you want to bring into practice the advices. I recognize so much of my daily practice. Although I am over twenty two years in cold calling, the book sharpens my skills. Many people think cold calling is anxious. Though, I think bear hunting is creating real sweat. Whether you are building your experience in cold calling or you are experienced, this book is a stimulans.

As I read David Timmerman's book about The Art of Cold Calling, I could see that it is an art! It isn't just trying to get another person to do something for you; buy your product or set up a meeting. It goes way beyond all of that. What David is trying to say is, you have to become focused on them as a person and not just an object- an end to your means. He focuses more on how to go about in your cold calling, always keeping things in perspective, so as the main focus in on them. He gives a list of all the things you might become concerned about while cold calling and how to go about them. One thing might be "Conversation Techniques,"- even the tone of your voice can play a part as to whether someone (prospective client) listens to you. I soon began to realize that David's advice about cold calling could not only be applied to the actual working process, but to every day life in relationships. So it helps you on both ends. I would recommend this book to anyone, even if not a cold caller...
