I tried to read this front to back, because I really hate not finishing a book, but I just couldn't.

When first published, this book rose to the very top of Russian bestseller charts and stayed there for twelve months in a row, all for good reason. Changing your life on the spot has never been so much FUN! "The Art of Soaring" offers a number of everyday "magical" techniques which I found to be truly amazing in their simplicity and at how well they work. I personally tried almost every hilarious strategy from this volume, and it produces miracles 100% of the time - from resolving financial matters to intentionally finding a lost personal item in a 100-acre forest. Actually, the book is filled with real-life stories of healed personal relationships, miracle cures are much more - all powerful and inspiring.

"The Art of Soaring" weaves together the practical wisdom of the world's spiritual traditions, the authors' insights, hidden messages encoded in ancient folk tales, and a potent dose of humor. It now boasts over one million readers, having made a favorite with people of all walks of life, from yoga teachers to businessmen, and from school kids to truck drivers.

For me, it was the LAST self-help/spirituality book I had to read - it's THAT helpful! My whole family fell in with it. My little daughter is even doing some "magic" to get a HORSE for her birthday. And (sigh) I think she'll get it!

When you get the book, remember to tell your neighbors: the outbursts of laughter about to shake your house are nothing to worry about. You're simply reading "The Art of Soaring". Please en-joy and spread out your wings!

PS: The sequel by the same authors: "The Power of Luck: A User's Manual" is just as outrageously good.

I discovered this book when our family went to a Ringing Cedars workshop in Ottawa in 2010. What a fabulous book to read! It's so enjoyable, I didn't really want to put it down. It has techniques that are a lot of fun, inspire your creativity and can be very supportive in getting yourself through difficult situations / times in your life. I felt like I was soaring just reading it. I have recommended it to family and friends ever since.
I even read the book again, and would not be surprised to pick it up any time I would like an encouraging, enjoyable book. It is amazing how you can pick up something totally different you missed the first time through. I would suggest to you, if you are reading this review, it is worth getting a copy. Whatever is going on in your life, this book has something for you.

"The Art of Soaring" is stunning, inspiring, bursting with laughter and positivity - I've never read a book like this! Like any really great book, it's hard to put it in a specific category, but basically it's about changing your reality through laughter. It shows you how you can resolve any problem - health, relationships, money. Deeply insightful and very practical, filled with funny techniques to try out in real life - and it works! I now use it all the time, with amazing results. Probably the best book I ever spent my money on. I now recommend it to all my friends, but I don't lend them my copy because I know they won't want to give it back! :)

The methods taught in this book are now my main moves to free myself from worry, anguish, anxiety, sadness, fear, you name it.

It is fast and effective. The other day I woke up with a gloom and doom feeling. My finances are a little strained, and rent payment time is coming up.

I quickly renamed myself as the first thing I saw, the red light on the window fan. Then the bird in the bird bath, the whistling of the tea-kettle, and I was fine, I was happy, I was on my way to book a few coaching clients extra to pay my rent.

No sweat, no worries. The Art of Soaring is the best!

I thought this was a somewhat silly book. There is some merit in the approach, but there are other methods that I believe are more authentic. The basic premise of this book is that if you are not manifesting what you want in a certain area of your life, then you explore your personal history to find the root of the problem, going back as early as necessary or possible, based upon what your memory serves up. You then rename the problem or who you were in that situation, and voila, within a short time, your outer circumstances resolve favorably so that you are now manifesting what you wanted all along but were not experiencing -- be it finding your true love, or whatever. The authors refer to this process as "magick."

If you have ever worked with a therapist to recast a remembered situation, or if you have ever applied the "reframing" techniques of NLP, then you probably don't need this book.

One thing I do like about the authors' approach is that the renaming involves formulating an "I am" statement. However, they are missing the essential reason that "I am" statements work. "I Am" is the name of the divinity. When Moses asked the voice that spoke from the burning bush, "Who are you?", the reply that came was, "I Am That I Am." This is a name for God. So when you formulate an "I Am" statement (with a capital A), you are affirming the nature of the divinity within you. "I Am loved." "I Am healthy." "I Am powerful." "I Am realizing all that I need financially.
