Book Description

January 14, 2011
For centuries, man has studied the ancient art of war before heading into battle--obsessively planning, strategically theorizing, and meticulously executing. If only he did that before trying to pick up women.

Just as they turn to Sun Tzu's honored text for military guidance, they can sharpen their dating skills by adapting the good general's advice. But since every guy hitting the bar on Saturday night isn't a seasoned warrior, this book has done the heavy lifting. By dissecting Sun Tzu's original text, extracting his core wisdom, and applying it to picking up women, this book teaches you how to win the battle of the sexes.

A woman might not be an enemy to conquer--but she is a prize to win over.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best PUA Book February 20, 2011
Format:Paperback
Having read many PUA book ,I say this:The Art of War for Dating is the best. Rogell integrates many ideas from other books(with due credit), such as the "neg", the opening question(not the opening line), and the importance of demonstrating value(women do not date men who they perceive of lower value). He then riffs on the idea of value by explaining that women want strength in a man:mental strength(women need mental stimulation);social strength(men and women admire and value you); and strength of character(if you are loyal to your friends, you likely will be loyal to her). Bottom line: do not pursue, but instead attract. Great chapters on how to deal with the "I have a boyfriend" line and the importance of story telling. An added bonus is tying these ideas to Sun Tzu's classic. I wish I knew this 20 years ago, but sometimes wisdom never comes so it should not be rejected merely because it comes late.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing new here May 17, 2011

If you've read any book about dating then you don't need to read this. There is nothing new or groundbreaking, just a rehashing of the same mystery pickup ideas again.

Format:Paperback
Before reading this book, I was also under the impression that only the elite of men get the best of the bunch; Boy was I wrong. In his book, Rogell explains in a step by step process of what it takes to get women. The first two chapters get you mentally prepared, while the rest of the chapters build on themselves. After reading this book, I was surprised by how easy it really was to go up and break the ice with a female. Besides instructing you on how to talk to a women, this book even answers the most trivial of questions dealing with women psychology, such as why women always choose the bad boys. It also includes real life scenarios where the most ugliest of men approached the most gorgeous of women and what they did to pull off getting their phone numbers, or even getting invited back to their rooms!

This books was an interesting read and just reading it built up my self confidence. By the time your done, talking to women will be no sweat.
