The companion Guide to the Thirty Year paperback series, "The Destroyer" by Warren Murphy and Richard Sapir. A must for any devoted fan of this series, or even for those who appreciate the wit and humor of the series.

More rare yet, is the remaining author, Warren Murphy's approachability and availability. Few authors are so readily available to the public, and this alone is worth discovering Mr. Murphy's other writings.

Mr. Murphy remains one of the few, now dwindling, list of writers from the old school. Educated, self-made, plain speaking writers of thought and creativity. One of the remaining few who make the "new breed" of "formula" writers seem effete, cliched, and redundant.

Warren Murphy has created a fantastic tribute to the Destroyer series in "The Assassin's Handbook." Witty, engrossing and engaging, Chiun's character comes to life between the pages. I couldn't put it down. It's a must-have for everyone, not just Destroyer fans.

Just a review of the status of the book; Warren Murphy is reissuing this book himself via his website! BR>So you can get one there fairly affordable in the next few weeks!

Anyone that's read any of this series will want one of these books ! Also, be advised that Warren Murphy now has 2 websites where you can order Destroyer merchandise...(Now if the rumours of a new Destroyer movie are true !) I've been an avid fan since the series originated back in the 70's and now my teen-aged son is a fan as well.

A must have for the collector of the series, as well as any fan of adventure and humor. And now that the sequel; "The Assassin's Handbook 2" and "The Way Of The Assassin" are available at the Warren Murphy webpage, you've got to get this to see what all the fuss is about!

After nearly 20 years, it's GREAT to finally be able to hold one of these in my hands (AND autographed to boot!)! Warren Murphy has rereleased this title himself via his Ballybunnion Books publishing company and has agreed to autograph all books sold via his site! I am a relative newcomer to the Destroyer books, and I just can't get enough--I finish one, and I start in with another. This particular volume is a heck of a lot of fun, and a great resource for fans--its pointed me in the direction of some of my favorite volumes in the series.

Its an exciting time to be a Destroyer fan--a new author coming on, the availability of this particular volume, and Warren Murphy's presence on the web all add up to a true feast of riches!

If you're a fan of the Destroyer novels, you're going to love this book. If you've never read a Destroyer novel, you'll still find this to be an amusing read, but be warned, you'll probably find yourself buying the novels (this is actually a good thing--they are addictive and fun). You'll get a taste of the novels with "The Day Remo Died." You'll also learn about some of the best assassinations in history (hint: you think they were accidents right now). Learn about the history of Sinanju, the sun source of all the martial arts. Learn about Chiun, the reigning Master of Sinanju and that pale piece of pig's ear named Remo Williams. What are you waiting for? Stop reading this review and order the book already!

This over-sized paperback is much sought after by all fans of the Destroyer series. It's features include an interview with Sapir and Murphy, the original novella "The Day Remo Died" - the TV pilot was based on this. Chiun's quick weight loss diet, and lot's more fun stuff. Good luck finding it!
