I loved the story from the first book, but I struggled with the writing style and character development. This sequel expands the original story, ties up some loose ends, and the best surprise for me was how much better the character development was. The book can get fairly technical sometimes, but I like that kind of science fiction. Some of the tangents can get annoying, and the extent of the fantastical twists gets fairly complex. Ultimately, I was able to follow along enough to really dig the technical stuff and care about the characters. The story touches on so many facets of the human experience: science, religion, history, evolution, biology, physics, good vs. evil. I highly recommend reading the first book, and jumping right into this one.

Just like the first one, I borrowed the book from the Kindle Lending library, and then decided to support the author and buy a copy after the fact. Great stuff, keep it coming!

If you haven't read book one of this series, you need to do so immediately. The follow-up second book is just as good - perhaps even better than the first. Well developed characters, stunning plot twists, history, genetics, science fiction - its all here. Believe me, you won't be able to put it down.

I read this and After Days (The After Days Trilogy) by Scott Medbury, one after the other in three nights, they are both so good its amazing. If you love fast paced writing and unputdownable stories i give both a huge thumbs up...Atlantis Plague is a great follow up to the Gene and Mr Riddle keeps the action coming. It really was unputdownable and I so hope they decide to make the whole series into a movie or a HBO series. Don't miss it!

Ties history, anthropology, physics and sci-fi together in a very believable scenario. I loved that I couldn't figure out who the actual bad guys were until you wanted me to know... Good sequel to a very intriguing plot given todays medical interest in gene splicing using viruses to insert them specifically where they are needed, etc., ties most everything together from the first book, but leaves openings for more books to come... keep them coming!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading both The Atlantis Gene and Plague, and eagerly await the next installation. The story is quite exciting, and most definitely qualifies as an "edge of your seat thriller," but is also quite complex and requires frequent stops to ponder the theories. I did get lost a couple of times, but I just had to read on and was rewarded with some resolution - although I have concluded that I am definitely not smart enough to be an Atlantean - and could quite possibly be one of the devolving! Thank you, Mr. Riddle, for writing an intelligent and highly entertaining series, and I very much look forward to your next release.

This is the direct sequel to the Atlantis Gene, also on Kindle. I was lucky to get a prerelease copy direct from the author and have just finished it. Great read. Brilliant blend of rolling adventure story Aka Lee Child, Vince Flynn etc combined with some very well researched and written near-Future Technology. A nice overview of physics, anthropology and gene biology. Fully recommend this new book. If you haven't already, read The Atlantis Gene first. This book follows on directly from it.

I was totally held by the story and plot line. I could not put the book down. I was able to wait (barely) for the PLAGUE after the Atlantis Gene, & it was 7 long months. I will have to wait for the next book in the series. I do not want to wait, but I have to. Congrats to a great story line by a new author, who we will see many things from in the future. Wishing the best for Mr. A.G. Riddle and I believe that he will be satisfying our thirst for more books for a long time to come for many years into the future. Still hard to believe Mr. Riddle is a "NEW" author as he allowed me (the reader) to feel that I was in the story and knew the characters for what felt like a long time.

Excellent sequel...all the elements of the first novel that were compelling reappeared with more gusto and made the second book even better! If you love science fiction that brings history and interesting locations to the table then this book is for you! Enjoy!
