Here in America I had always been fascinated with the great and quirky locations on my favorite show of all time so you might say I have been waiting for this book for 40 years! Wonderfully painstakingly researched with many photos. The info on Borehamwood Elstree studios is particularly interesting and kind of sad since so much no longer exists of this working dream factory. Cross location references to other hit shows and films made at the time include THE SAINT, DEPARTMENT S,THE PRISONER, DANGER MAN(Secret Agent for the U.S.market) and many others. It's great fun to reference this while watching old episodes for us AVENGERS fanatics. Highly recommended good fun !

Okay, I might be a little biased because THE AVENGERS is my favorite show of all time, but this tome is the greatest book of all time. GOAT. That simple.

My wife and I went to England and France last summer for a nice two week trip and we dedicated our first day for visiting Avengers sites. Well, the plane lands four hours late after taking a detour to Newfoundland because one of the privies wouldn't work (the other three did! why make a left turn in the middle of the night and waste four hours! jeez louise!) and the rental car place packed us into a Mercedes Benz SUV (not the kompact kar we had ordered!) and off we went except it's now 2:30pm instead of 10:30am (or 14:30 instead of 10:30). The first thing we noticed is that the steering wheel was on the wrong side of the car! The second thing we noticed was that traffic was always heading right at us and we had to move over to the left. Whooooo! That was close. Well, my wife got the hang of it pretty fast and was darn good at driving and only took out a few garbage cans and what not.

And we're looking around and I have my THE AVENGERS ON LOCATION with me along with me opened to the Caldecote Towers which is now a school and there it is! there it is! THERE IT IS!!! The Caldecote Towers! And we pull over about a block away and walk back and THERE THEY ARE! The Caldecote Towers! Whamslamthamajamma! Whooooooooppppeeeeee! We had time travelled into the past and there they were. The Caldecote Towers. We had not only time travelled into the past... We were now in a TV show! In the sixties! I mean it's one thing to time travel, but it's certainly another to go from reality to fiction where fiction is now YOUR NEW REALITY!

What book can do that? Only one book. The Avengers On Location.

GOAT.

(and some day we'll tell you about Tykes Water Lake bridge and the town of Murdersville and the Three Horseshoes Pub and...)

Great Book, very informative, lots of photographs, the names of the locations are highlighted in bold throughout the episode entries,
would recommend!
