This book is a great read, and compelling enough that in 12 hours (3 sessions)I had finished it. I would compare this to a modern day Atlas Shrugged, but instead of John Galt, there is a solution provider in this book with a different name, and I won't spoil your enjoyment by giving that away. If this book does no more than open your eyes to what's happening around us, then it will have accomplished its objective. I emigrated from Canada back in 1986 because of government overreach and taxation, and here I am planning to move once again to a more business friendly environment. Not only are we slowly losing our freedoms to a police state, but our government is systematically eradicating our middle class by forcing our small / medium size business to close up shop. If you go to the BLS website, and compare openings (start - ups) with closings (failures), you'll see that since 2008 through the 2nd qtr of 2012, we've had a net loss of 308,000 businesses, and that's a first in the history of the United States. Those 'pesky' entrepreneurs, thinking for themselves, are too hard to control, so lets stamp them out, and give all the business to the large corporations, that give us political contributions. Michael Snyder's book will set the tone for you, and then I would suggest you do some research, and get involved somehow, to make a difference. The time for sitting on the sidelines is over folks, it's time for action.

Firstly, I am VERY interested in this concept of financial Armageddon and what it would (is going to) do to society in general. I purchased the Kindle edition of this book in hopes of reading a story such as this one. I made it through the first hundred pages, REALLY trying to stay engaged and interested. While the concepts were interesting and some of the characters had life, once certain characters (ie: Melissa & Tom) became the major players, the dialogue became forced & stilted and the human reactions to happenings surrounding them just went to hell.

I forced my way through Tom & Melissa having an introductory conversation without regard that both of them had just been shot. I shook my head but kept on reading when Tom magically had a mini-GPS device in his pocket next to his car keys to throw on an agent's car before following him (not to mention the extra convenience of the mini-GPS device doubling as an explosive when Tom needed it to. Ugh!! "Deus Ex Machina" much?

I'm actually saddened, as this idea had a lot of potential, but the author simply was not an expert (or did not seek out sufficient expertise) in developing an array of different (believable) characters (news reporter, Bank hedge fund manager, secret agents...ugh). I gave this two stars because I still believe that the concept has potential, and that parts of the beginning sequence did have merit (at least I didn't catch myself shaking my head and grimacing through some of them).

Michael Snyder 's exposure of government deceptions gives us a sobering glimpse into America's secretive agenda. Although he wisely employs proxy characters to expose government intrigues, he provides a true picture of powerful agents without a conscience and victims that dare to take a stand for truth. No wonder his insights have stirred anger among those who support today's transition from Constitutional freedom to global tyranny! After all, his emphasis on courage and compassion is unlikely to please those who despise liberty, justice and freedom for all. May God use this book to prepare its readers to spread His love and hope in a needy world.

Short & sweet, the subject is interesting but I just raced into buying this book, didn't notice it was self-published, and even though you can "look inside" via Amazon, there's nothing to look at!

I noticed the large number of 1 star reviews but dismissed them, thinking "well, it's a controversial subject so I'll read this book." Don't YOU do that. This book wasn't inexpensive so save your money for a great read on Amazon as there are so many.
The 1 star reviews complaining that the author writes fiction like a 7th grader are true! I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of this $17 book, and realizing I can only do one thing and that's throw it in the trash...I couldn't give it away in good conscience. Okay, enough. This author went to my Alma Mater, to law school. He isn't dumb. Advice to author...please stick to law, or something related and forget about the writing...at least do not fiction. To readers looking to be entertained or informed by some apocalyptic reading, you might try "The Creature from Jekyll Island." It isn't purely apocalyptic but you'll learn how our economy is manipulated through the Fed and how the Fed was created, all in a format that reads like a great mystery.

I bought this book after reading the blurb on Amazon, and was intrigued.
Unfortunately, the book just didnt deliver. It was a decent concept, spoiled by poor dialogue and a totally unbelievable bad guy.
A seven foot red eyed bald man with a supply of b movie science fiction equipment just didn't hold up.
While I did enjoy some of the characters, overall the story was poorly realised.
It would be a prime candidate for a rewrite by a seasoned author, had it not been published in it's present form.
I am sorry to say this, but I feel I have wasted my money on this book.
