Amazon is awesome. Between my accounts and accounts for friends and family I've personally ordered or referred hundreds of books. Love Amazon. That will probably never change.

This book however was a disappointment. Primarily because the description "Whether in the kitchen or in a hurry..." and a title of "Quick Meals" sounded as if this might be a collection of kitchen prepped recipes for 'on the go'. It isn't.

This is primarily a book of photographs of pre-packaged, store bought, over-the-counter meals. The left pages are pictures of pre-packaged what-not-to-eat meals from restaurants, fast-food chains, and frozen food distributors. The right-hand pages are pictures of `better choice' meals from the same providers. Not a single recipe is included. You are not cooking anything. You are simply presented photos of pre-packaged or restaurant meals that are either 'Belly Fat Cure' acceptable or unacceptable.

In some cases, though, the 'acceptable' meals contain rice or wheat. A big no-no for strict primal followers. So, from a primal/paleo perspective not all the meals are actually ok, just slightly better Belly Fat Cure approved alternatives than the high-sugar, high-carb versions on the left.

If you are someone like me who enjoys cooking and is seeking a more extensive menu of Belly Fat Cure approved recipes to cook from scratch in a hurry, this book ain't it. You'll need to stick to The Belly Fat Cure Original Cookbook, or create your own quick meals. However, if you are looking for a photo album containing shots of prepackaged or restaurant meals you can eat on the go, this is for you.

I just got my book a couple of hours ago and really like it. Since I'm familiar with the BFC program, I didn't read through the testimonials or chapters yet. Upon skimming it, it looks like the same stuff that is in original book explaining the program.

What I am most interested in is the quick meal options. I am very pleased with the color pages of belly good quick meals. It includes a nice variety of restaurant meal options and frozen meal options that I wouldn't have considered. It saves me time from trying to figure what would fit my S/C balance for the day. I especially like that some of the belly good restaurant meals include a "How to order this" description of what menu item it is and the changes to request in order to make it a belly good meal.

Overall I'm really glad I ordered it. I have the original book and the fast track. This one is a nice addition to my BFC program.

At a recent doctors appointment I was told to stay away from anything frozen, anything in a can, and all fast food joints and restaurants. I told my doctor that did not fit my lifestyle and there had to be some happy alternative we could both live with that would help me lose weight. Enter the Belly Fat Cure Quick Meals book.

I love that the book contains the same glossy pictures as its predecessors (see my other reviews) and Belly Bad/Belly Good choices for fast food, popular restaurants, frozen entrees, sodas, power bars and more. Now I can just make a permanent grocery list of Belly Good Carb Swaps I can eat that will help me drop the excess pounds. I can put the Belly Good restaurant meal suggestions in my pocket Moleskine (in my purse with notes) so I can happily eat at my favorite food joints.

For people who eat out a lot this book will allow you to make wise Carb Swap choices while dining and finally lose weight. I highly recommend the entire Belly Fat Cure series.

I tried it for a week, using both the Bellycure book and Quick meals. In 6 days I lost 5 lbs. painlessly. My husband lost as well. I can't wait until next week. This is a great book for carrying in the car when you find yourself needing to eat away from home. I am over 50 and that didn't even matter. Jorge told the truth. It's that sugar and those carbs!

I was disappointed as I could have figured out the sugar and carb count reading the labels on the frozen entrees.
I do like the program however, but was hoping for some new recipes since I rarely eat fast food.

I was skeptical but tried the 3-hour Belly Fat Cure Fast Track and lost 20 lbs very fast! Then the holidays came and I braced myself, but only gained back 4 lbs, despite an entire month of holiday eating. Those four lbs. were gone within 5 days as soon as I went back to cutting out excessive carbs and sugars. This book is a Godsend for those of us with hectic professional lives who have to grab quick meals on the road. I was able to hit McDonalds, etc., and still continue to lose weight. Bravo!

I bought this book based on the positive reviews. I thought quick meals meant meals you can make quickly at home. I don't eat fast food, but if I did this book would be a HUGE disappointment. The list of fast food swaps is so small.
I read the book in about 20 minutes on my kindle and was SHOCKED when the book ended. THAT'S IT?! Almost $10. for a list of fast food? Where are the quick meal recipes?
I would have been better going to a book store and checking out this waste of print. I surely would not have purchased it if I'd seen it first. I'm now Leary of the author as he is only interested in making money by misleading.
I guess book reviews are also suspect. Be careful when ordering on kindle.
