I've have read the other books in the series (this is #6) and this is the best one yet. The designs selected for this edition are bold, graphically intense, colorful and quite stunning. These designs really make a strong impression. I found more great ideas for card design in this book than all the others I have read combined. Needless to say, I bought this one. The team at BlackCoffee have excellent taste, and have really done a great job. If you are looking for something to spark your imagination and help you design a killer business card, this is the book. Bravo!

As with other reviewers I expected, when opening this book, to be confronted with just another collection of eye candy cards and little substance. I could not have been more wrong. The thoughtfulness with which the majority of the cards were selected and composed (page by page) made it a must -buy.

I commend the authors/designers on a job well-done.

I had intended on not even purchasing this great resource based on previous editions, but what a vast improvement. This edition provided new inspiration and invigorated my creative ideas. I look forward to future titles by the published and designer.

This book provides a wide variety of examples that will inspire you, give you ideas you never thought of, makes you realize how well a business card can communicate and proves that design isa lot more than just the ink printed on paper. After getting this book, I will never look at a business cadr design or business card design assignment the same way ever again!

Although its audience is somewhat limited, this book is extraordinarily useful to designers for two reasons:

1. Inspiration. If you don't get a single idea after flipping through this a couple of times, you're in the wrong business.

2. Client Education. 99% of designers' clients see no problem in printing their own business cards with a $50 inkjet on paper they got at Office Depot as they have no idea what else is even possible. While it's extremely unlikely that any sane person who was not a designer themselves would ever spend the amount of money necessary to produce results as depicted in most of the examples this book contains, you might at least be able to keep them from taking their $3,000 .ai files to Kinko's.

My strongest complaint is that it never says WHERE any of these people got their printing done. I've seen some really cool things I've wanted to try out only to find that no print shop on Earth seems to have all the required capabilities.

I am a designer which incorporates graphic design, multimedia, web, and photography for my clients marketing campaigns. It has never taken me more than 5 minutes to get inspired and head in a particular design with this book. This is the first of this series I have purchased but would high recommend it.

Call me weird but I like perusing good design to get ideas for my projects. I got this book sight unseen and have flipped through it every couple of days since receiving it. I use it to fuel color choices and layout for everything from websites to brochures and menus and of course business cards. I would highly recommend this book to anyone needing a breath of inspiration in their design world.
