I'm Incredibly Pleased!!
on September 2, 2013
I must admit that I had a bit of skepticism about this product, but after watching the Dr. Oz feature about Garcinia Cambogia, and really researching it on the internet, I came to think that this might be a very good option for a frustrating weight gain. I decided that I would purchase the brand of this product that most fit Dr. Oz's recommendations, and Trusted Nutrients won that test, hands down! I loved reading all of the positive reviews, and I felt good about the company I was choosing to trust.
I'll get to my VERY positive review for this product in a moment, but first, let me first say that I have been on both ends of the fat/thin scale: At one point in my late 20's, I was 270 pounds with a 46" waist (on a 5'10" frame), and in my 30's, discovered a passion for fitness and nutrition, and got myself down to 160 pounds with 6% bodyfat, thanks, in part, to supplementation that included some high doses of Ephedra. I maintained that peak physical shape for many years, but when Ephedra became demonized and taken off the market, I was unable to stay down at 6% bodyfat. I managed, though, to stay under 200 pounds, and went back and forth between being in shape and "needing to lose a few". The one thing I did have going for me, was that by building muscle, I could lose the 10-15 pounds if I set my mind to it by upping the exercise and watching the diet. I chalked that up to having been in peak physical shape through my early/mid 30's. And then I hit my 40's, and all that changed! Ugh! It finally happened, that my old tricks of cutting down the carbs and calories and upping the cardio didn't cut me down to lean the way it had. And over the past few years, I've seen a steady weight increase, in spite of having a fairly good and consistent diet, and in spite of my 26 mile bike rides 3-4 days/week! I've been feeling SO let down by my body and metabolism, and having to face the aging thing. None of my clothes fit and it seems that I was doomed to be stuck at 210 pounds! I was 210 after a month long trip to Europe where I allowed myself to eat whatever I want, and I stayed at 210 after 3 months of being home and eating ONLY good healthy food. And as I mentioned earlier, I had become a bit of an expert about nutrition and exercise, which you would HAVE to, to be someone who went from 270 with a 46" waist down to 160 with a 30" waist! But now, my methods weren't helping me! I was stuck at 210 and completely disheartened!
That's where I was when I found the Dr. Oz report about Garcinia Cambogia. And the science seemed to make sense. And since Ephedra is no longer on the market at the dosage levels that actually had any effect for me (not to mention that now, in my 40's, I realize that I should really protect my heart as much as possible, and perhaps not use a supplement that raises your heart rate, like Ephedra does), I felt that this new Dr. Oz endorsed product might be worth a try. As I said, I did my research and Trusted Nutrients came out WAY on top, no contest! So I ordered. I then had the extraordinary experience of getting a phone call from the NICEST representative the day after ordering, to welcome me to the company and to offer their assistance in whatever way I needed. I won't go into details about the conversation with the rep, as I know that companies often have to re-work how they do their customer promotions, but let me just say that I was BEYOND impressed and at that point thought to myself: "If this product works, then they have earned a customer for life!". I felt that they TRULY cared about me, and not just about getting another sale on Amazon.
Anyway, I started taking the supplement, and felt absolutely NO side effects at all. That's always a good sign. Often, products like these come along with a bit of dizziness or nausea while your body gets used to it. Not this product - I felt normal and fine. Good first step. I can't claim that I was perfect in taking the 3 a day I had planned to take, and taking it always 30 minutes prior to a meal. Life gets in the way, and you sometimes forget. But about 2 weeks into being pretty good about taking it, I realized as I put on the dreaded polo shirt, which had been feeling like stuffing a sausage into it's casing, actually felt comfortable and even a bit looser than it had in a year! I was thrilled! I attributed it to the product, as nothing had changed with my diet or exercise (I was doing both at about 75-80% of what I should be doing - not perfect, but pretty good). But the HUGE surprise came yesterday when my fiance asked me to weight myself. We have one of those electronic scales that charts things on the MAC, and helps you keep a record, and my fiance realized I hadn't been on the scale in 10 days or so. Well, the last time I was on the scale, I was 201, and yesterday, I got on and I was 193!! Wow! I should also mention that when I first started taking this product, I was at 210. So now I'm 17 pounds down and I'm thrilled! It may be happening faster for me than the average person, simply because under this awful layer of fat, is quite a bit of muscle. But I do feel that I needed a serious jump start, and I FULLY credit Garcinia Cambogia for helping me break out of the rut and finally see weight loss and inches lost. I'm now renewing my commitment to try to be more consistent with the supplement, as I think it'll help me get back down to my 160 pounds. And I'm also looking forward to trying some of their other supplements as well.
Bottom line, I think this is definitely worth recommending. Just remember that everyone's body is different, and after I had reached peak physical shape and everyone was turning to me for advice on how to do it, I always told people to learn to be on their OWN timeline and not expect the same result timeline as other people. The end results, yes, could be the same, but it takes every body a different amount of time. But this is my story and I'm happy to be telling it!
