This is a collection of documentaries, video of live performances, and "personal best" compilations for the Python players. Fine if that's what you want. But if you are looking for discs containing complete programs, these are not them. The packaging is similar to The Complete Monty Python's Flying Circus 16-Ton Megaset, which contains the complete programs, but this collection is not the same thing at all, it's "everything else."

The packaging of the two products is very similar, so it's easy to be mislead looking at the small versions of the cover art online.

The controlled insanely incredibly creative, ingenious and inspired humor of the Monty Python aggregation is by far the most immediately powerful and effective antidote for curing all manner of maladies, ailments and afflictions due to advanced stages of depression, melancholia and despair, and no prescription is required. Merely slip the Monty Python disc into one's DVD player, and even the deepest, darkest gloom disappears faster than early-morning dew off rosebuds on a warm, sunny morning. Now then, if the Monty Python crew can add such joy to those suffering from even the utmost morose despair, just try to imagine the extravagant delight they bring to those who already are in a mellow frame of mind. The world is by far a much happier place, thanks to the Herculean efforts of all those remarkable Monty Python cast members and their supporting staff.

The Best of Monty Python DVDs were a Christmas gift. The person that received them thought they were great.
