This book was fast pace and well written. It's one of those that you lift your head up and see that it's 2 in the morning.  This is not your usual anti-war pacifist secular argument.  This is bolder, and it's undeniable.  If for nothing else, it uses Scripture that will shut a pro-war, statist-Christian's mouth or make him angry and have him go on his usual diatribe.

Strongly made the case for biblical doctrine to be reapplied in the Church once again.  This book is a blessing if for nothing else but that it encourages and reaffirmed your belief in peace and non-interventionism.  This a book that will make a lot of people angry for it's courage to go outside today's culture.  This a book that turns everything upside down, though gently.  This a book that lays the Truth out precise but simple.  And, what a relief it is not because it shows I'm right, but it gives you a better argument and understanding of what is going on from a biblical perspective.  This kind of perspective is ad far between.

This book needs to be handed out at Tea Party rallies, Church events, and anywhere Christians are at.

It was a surreal feeling when McDurmon told of how war history developed.  Though he made some mentions of how it parallel with our current situation, he didn't have to do so, since after reading the truths of history, it's obvious of what is going on today.

It's also very telling of the state of the Church, at least in the U.S., when it ignores obvious teachings and warnings of the Bible such as the Old Testament.

Joel McDurmon has done an excellent job summarizing the Biblical position on war. He makes a very strong case against the current American Evangelical Christian position that the American government's war against Muslims (and virtually everybody else in the world) is justified Biblically. I've long been appalled at the State worship evident in evangelical churches, e.g., US flags behind the pulpit, singing the 'Star-Spangled Banner', fawning adulation of military personnel, etc., and applaud Mr. McDurmon for having the courage to oppose such behavior in writing.

A concise, easy read that packs a heck of a message in a small volume. I purchased a couple of extra copies to send to family members. An admitedly risky move but sometimes one has to take a stand.

Mr. McDurmon lays down some honest facts about the growing problem of Militarism in America. He shows through bible verses that the path that this country is heading down is the path to hell. He doesn't blame Obama. He doesn't blame Bush. It blames everybody from Washington on up. Sure there will be some die hard "I'm more of Patriot than you" that will despise what this man has wrote but "Patriotism is the refuge of scoundrels". This along with Christianity and War by Laurence Vance and The War is a Racket by Gen. Smedley Butler will refute even the hardcore warmongering evangelical that wants to bring about the end of the world.
