These are fine cards to play with. The photograph makes them seem difficult to read, but since the layout is so cleanly spaced, you can still identify the cards quickly. The color tones are warm, subdued, and pleasant, so I'm sure there will always be someone in your group who will enjoy playing with them for that reason alone.

My main problem is that the washed out look is simply too forced and artificial looking. I know, I know, what do you expect from a set of printed cards? But it's like the difference between furniture with an enjoyable, if obvious, "antique" finish and antiqued furniture that looks tacky and silly. So, I will always find these cards a bit embarrassing - like we're both trying a bit too hard, the cards and I. xD
