Book Description

February 15, 2011

Our eyes are a well-designed optical system, a complicated and highly developed organ. And we rely on them for just about everything we do in our lives, both personal and work-related. That's why it is so important to take good care of our eyes. The Big Book of Family Eye Care outlines measures we can take to help enhance and protect our eyes in order to preserve their function throughout life.

The book is a reader-friendly guide to how eyes function, common and serious eye problems, the best options for vision maintenance, and easy ways to preserve eye health. Basic vision problems (myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism) are covered along with eye infections and emergency care. Solutions for family eye problems-specific to children, adults, and seniors- are presented in detail. There are also helpful insider tips on picking an eye care professional and on getting the best glasses and contacts, laser surgery, and other optical needs.

The Big Book of Family Eye Care is not meant to replace your eye doctor but to clarify your understanding of eye health issues. It will help you keep seeing 20/20 into 2020 and beyond.

Great Reference April 3, 2011
By Tina H.
Format:Paperback
I really enjoyed reading this book cover to cover. I am in the eye care industry and found the book very informative. I think this is a great book for every family and I also think this a great book for people looking to go into the eye care field. Dr. Joe really breaks it down so you can understand the topic. I would recommend this book to all!

A must have for eye care!! February 23, 2011

This is definately a book that everyone needs to have. It is written at a level the average everyday person can understand. No matter how hard my own Dr. tries to explain things, I'm still leaving feeling like I didn't totally understand what was said. This book takes care of that. I feel like I'm sitting down having a regular normal conversation. It's easy to read and easy to understand. It's also an awesome reference to have for in between my visits with my own Dr.

It would be a mistake to not have this book in your home.
