The author wrote a story that kept this reader wanting more. The characters and creatures were so beautifully defined that I could see each and every one of them clearly in my minds eye. As I kept reading I got to know the two friends and how they worked together to push beyond their fears to satisfy their curiocities and complete their tasks. The author has the ability to portray her characters with depth and sensitivity. This reader believes children will become absorbed as they get into this tale. There are lessons to be learned for young readers as they follow Libby and Claire into the snow globe.

What a great concept. This genre has given us rabbit holes and wardrobes as portals to magical worlds, but a snow globe becomes a wonderful microcosm that the author explores and develops in surprising and insightful ways. I enjoyed visiting this special place with its curious creatures, and was delighted in how the author takes you there and back. The story is not only imaginative; it is clever, and appeals to a wide range of readers, adults as well as youngsters, as long as one is young at heart.

As I was reading this book, I was reminded of many of the greats: The Wizard of Oz, The Hobbit, Alice In Wonderland. These books are all classic tales of adventure, but they keep a special place in our hearts because they contain whole new worlds.

The Biggest Adventure In The Littlest World does the same. At a time when bookstores are glutted with poorly written knock-off fantasies, this book is a breath of fresh air.

It's intelligent, satisfying and fun. What child hasn't wanted to climb into the tiny scene contained in a snow globe? The world of Underdom is a rollercoaster ride, full of mysteries, excitement and strange creatures. And best of all, you've never been there before!

I just finished this book and I can't stop thinking about all the multiple meanings that are embedded in this story...For example, "with responsibility comes risk". And "don't judge a book by its cover". And "strength comes through collaboration". And so forth, and so forth. This comes across as a very powerful parable...in the same league as Aesop. I strongly recommend this book to anyone...regardless of their age!

I really like this book. It's for a younger audience, but it won't read that way to adults. It's the story of two young friends who somehow magically get transported into a world that exists inside a snow globe. They meet strange and fascinating characters in their journey to explore and then, later, to escape the tiny new universe. The pace is snappy, things happen fairly quickly. I got a really good feel for the personalities of the main characters. Once the bad guys show up, it's gets really fun. And I was never quite sure what was going to happen next. A good read!
