So much is left unexplained about how this group formed - reviews have described them as "brilliant" but they hardly strike one as such. Did Hannah form the bluebloods or did they exist before? why them? they have nothing in common so why do they stick together?

I think Hannah formed them, I suppose as possible recruits. I could not figure out why they all stuck together. (Milton did date somebody outside the group.) And what about Charles? He was described at first as a Good Night Moon person but never seemed like one to me. The Bluebloods were, to me, the weak spot in the book. When they all ganged up on Blue and Milton said she kisses like a tuna -- I hated that scene. It was totally impossible, overdone.
